I’ve had weathertechs in my car for 6 years or so and my main complaint with them is that if they get scratched they look permanently dirty. The only way to make them look new again is to use tire shine which makes them incredibly slippery.
@honda116969 Жыл бұрын
Very nice review! Btw it's cool that you use the WeatherTech from 6 years ago so you can see how it held up over time obviously you have to use your 🧠 to think how was it when it was 🆕 but I prefer husky because of the spikes on the bottom. I use to use WeatherTech until I tried husky but for the price you can't go wrong I use the weatherbeater mats myself. My Tacoma has the all-weather floor mats but they suck compared to the husky so I have to upgrade 🔜 haha

If you are going to compare the 2, at least compare the 2 from the same year. Not something from 6 years ago. I had weathertech's in my previous, and never encountered any issues. No curling, no gaps, it was a perfect fit. It was in my car for 7 years and no issues. Went through mud, rain, salt, sand, and ice. Cleaned real nice and never curled. Recently traded that car in for something bigger. Again WeatherTech was put in. And I haven't had it for that long, but no curling. I did get the FloorLiner HP. Not sure how long it will last, but hopefully, it lasts for a very long time. As far as I can tell, its a perfect fit.

So you are suggesting that I spend the money and buy both then use both for years before comparing them just so I can satisfy some dude in my KZbin feed?
@MattRio Жыл бұрын
@@PatriotDIY no, but to be able to provide a good comparison between the two products, both should be the latest. Just my 2 cents. Quality is different from year to year. Just like you can't really compare a f150 from the 90's to one that is made from today.

@georgenist86979 ай бұрын
Hi, I have the WeatherTech HP the difference between the two is the regular weather tech is a very hard plastic. There’s no give it the HP version is more pliable. I had mine for three or four months I think the HP’s are great in my opinion if you care about your vehicle, go with the HP WeatherTech.
@rbb69 Жыл бұрын
I went with the weatherbeater for the front and the x-act contour for the back since the back one for my truck is all one piece and it’ll be easier to remove if I were to spill something. Good review!

i find it hilarious that people spend a fortune getting a poshed out new truck, thenspend a fortune putting black vinyl floor mats and whatnot in there and cover it all up....they should just sell the trucks with vinyl black interiors and cut the crap🤣🤣

I bought a Weathertech cargo liner for our SUV recently, and it is crap, so thin it won't even flatten out after days. I'm returning it. I had a Weathertech cargo liner I bought in 2015 and it was thick and heavy and stayed in place great. That is not what they are selling now. I will never buy another Weathertech product.

So I’ve had the Husky Weatherbeaters in my truck for the last 3 years, while I bought the Xact contours for my wife’s Highlander. I gotta say maybe it’s just me, but I prefer the Weatherbeaters. Seems more durable to me. Fits in perfectly. I love the look of the weathertechs, but we use those on our work trucks. Just never fits in right (I’m OCD about that type of junk) I’m interested with the new Weathertech HP’s. Heard those are direct competitors to the Xact contours. PS sick watch !

Thank you so much for making this video, you've helped me make my decision. I've had the same issues with the WeatherTech sidewall curling and gaps in my Kia Sportage, that happened immediately. The “new” front Weathertech HP are WAY better than the old curling crap… old were dangerous for front in my opinion…slide around and could interfere with pedals. HP are more a heavy rubber.

FYI- You created the gap in the back mat when you tucked under your storage bin by not allowing the mat to sit naturally but causing it to be impinge and pushed down and out.

I see you really cleaned your truck thoroughly when you showed the Huskys. Making it look good for your sponsor???? Just sayin'..... I had the Husky X-act mats in my last truck. They curled up at the door sills and I tried everything to get them to lay back down. Soaked them in hot water, bent them the opposite way, but a month later, right back to curling. I have WeatherTechs now, but my next truck I plan to try the WeatherTech HP.

I see you really want to talk junk when you have no idea what you are talking about.... the weathertechs were in my 10 uear old truck, the husky are in my brand new truck that why its so much cleaner, you can tell because the old truck had carpet floors and new has vinyl, i also mentioned that in the video....so no I don't have a sponsor, I purchased these myself.
