I really like how this has foam blocks behind the battery so if the straps let loose the plane doesnt become unflyable. If the straps let loose on some of my planes, the battery pukes out the back and can unplug itself or make it so tailheavy you cant control it. The stalls are insane too, usually warbirds and f18s just hit the ground.

Man this aircraft reminds me of the Red FMS Pilatus PC-21 which has that same propeller but is a real dog on a 4S but with a better HK power combo and livery. Awesome video as always Jay and great filming too!

I was very much happy to see this one. I do fly a PC 21. I really like that one but it has issues with the nose gear off grass. I hope this one is better. I have one on order but I probably won’t see it until the end of August. Hopefully they will have some spare props by then. I like extras.

Oh and the gear doors on the mains are short rather than scale. Grass ripped the FMS scale doors off. The grass isn’t that tall.

Front engine cowl looks a bit oddly shaped but understood it is a turbo prop but I do like the plane and avios does a nice job on scale and fit and finish. I have just 2 avios hobbyking airplanes the v1 Hu 16 albatross and the beachcraft king twin and love them both can't take my eyes off of them. Great video.

Joseph Kovacs was inspired by the superb Falco aircraft of Italian aeronautical designer Stelio Frati. The Falco famously stalled without dropping a wing. Kovacs' Embraer Tucano possessed a similar flat underside and resulting outstanding ground affect response. Cool to see these Frati aircraft characteristics in a model years later.

I fly the FMS version. My inly issues were not enough prop to ground clearance and the weak nose gear retract servo. I fly off grass. I ended up converting a main gear servo and changed all the struts. I am looking forward to this one. It is more suited to where I fly. I won’t have to do a bunch of mods.

A-29 super tucano has a nice flight this aircraft fly very well in Brazil is very common to see this plane in the hobbie, to be honest I have one a-29 from Brazilian smoke squad, I love they flight.

Very good review Jay. I like the plane but would do a re-paint to a even cooler livery. Just have to be different. I will buy this one on your word and demonstrate. Someday perhaps if you want to get together and fly I may come to Long Island or you to the Adirondak's on vacation and we can get together and Float fly.

Hi, I assembled the Tucano for tomorrow's test. I use FullPower 6S 5200mha that weigh 725 gr. positioning them as far back as possible but when I check the C.G. at 80mm the model is very beaten. The nose is too low, heavy. Should I remove some foam and move the battery back further? Please give me a suggestion. Maurizio from Italy.
