We have been doing food plots for about 25 yrs. We switched to no till back a few years ago. I could not afford a Genesis no till and purchased a mid cost 3 pt no till. The problem was although it weighted 900 lbs it was not heavy enough to bury the seed when we were ready to plant, it was just to dry. Therefore we had less than desirable results a few years. We ended up going back to the tillage plan and have been satisfied. I do bllieve with the pull type heavy no till you will have good results. His field also looked a lot cleaner than most of the fields we planted through. In the end I believe both will work, just depends on what one can afford. Just our experience. Bob SWWI

Good info, thanks yeah this drill was pricey for sure. I think you can do great plots just tilling. But drill sure saves some steps. Good luck to y’all.
