So true!!! I’ve only been 21 for a cpl months and already I’m just sooo sick of how ppl guilt trip and passive-aggressively lash out at you if u don’t want to ingest poison. Like I thought peer pressure in middle school was bad! When it comes to adult drinking, it’s so embedded in every aspect of society that it feels friggin inescapable……..which only makes me hate it more tbh

when it comes to carbs, for me it's the starchy carbs (including potatoes) that make me feel lethargic, but if i have fruits and/or oatmeal i tend to feel okay. i got into intermittent fasting cause i was getting tired during the workday, but over time i realized that it was heavy meats and starchier carbs that would make me tired

Do you find bread makes you tired or products containing white flour? I’m have heard mixed opinions about white flour products on athletic performances and don’t know what to think.

@@DeronFerguson24 it seems to make me sleepy. not 100% sure it's exactly that but it definitely seems that way. some meats also will make me really sleepy as well. im thinking it may possibly be related to oils or soy but i've yet to have enough time to do an elimination. so far though a bit of fruit still will not slow me down.

As someone with high carb sensitivity, eating them 3 hrs before bed would wreck me - I get jittery and unable to sleep. But I completely agree that they don’t deserve a bad rep. Before a workout, they’re unbeatable! Rather than eating low carb and then taking a synthetic pre-workout, eating carbs can give u that same quick and powerful boost 🔥

@veganhigler6541 I love animals as much as anybody, and I can see the contradiction in that statement from your perspective. However, being a vegan is a privilege that wasn't doable in the not too distant past. A person couldn't scramble fast enough to live off the land without eating animals. Today, people can do this, and I give you credit for it. I'm not a fan of mistreating animals. I believe there's a way to do things (for the purposes of this conversation, kill animals for food), and there's a way not to do things. Waaaaaay too often it's done in a way it ought not. That is an unfortunate reality of the world we live in that's full of greed. However, I will say I believe there are many health benefits to eating QUALITY meat (not just any meat). I appreciate your passion for animals, and I believe animals' lives should be respected, but I also don't believe an animals' life is equal to a human life, which I think you'd disagree with.

most of the claims that alcohol been beneficial have been mostly disproven as correlations rather than causations. certainly if you want to have it in moderation, cool, but it's not good to try and justify it as being some kind of beneficial substance either

Cut out the rice, add more veggies. Potatoes, rice and breads are just filler foods. Oatmeal I'll take cause can't beat the fiber. Meat and nutrient rich, fiber dense carbs.
@YourMom-iy6cv
@YourMom-iy6cv 10 ай бұрын
Oatmeal is a big mistake that athletes make when choosing a breakfast. First of all it doesn’t provide enough protein for the muscles and it doesn’t provide enough b vitamins such as b1 and b2 to stimulate the production of energy. It doesn’t have sufficient electrolytes like magnesium sodium potassium or calcium . Porridge is not enough fat, the body needs three fuel sources. Athletes need to eat a breakfast that at least has a balance of fat, protein and carbs and salt for maximum performance. Examples of this would be: - smashed avocado on toast with eggs and bacon - peanut butter and banana sandwich
