As much as I like Steven McFreeze, I think Bobby Icyface is better. Even though he was a late bloomer he was still able to score 538 goals in 837 games guiding his club to 5 Antarctic Premier League and 3 Antarctican Cups.

Irfan 21 I have to say I disagree. Even though Steven McFreeze was the better attacker, Bobby Icyface was undoubtedly the best dribbler in the history of Antartica if not the world. His skills when he had the ball at his flippers was so astonishing. I remember watching him play when I was a kid in the Antarctica National Stadium. I almost froze to death but the aura around him was so cool and he went through his opponents like they were frozen solid.

Yeah, but then there's his injury against Everfreeze in November 1999 that sidelined him for eleven months until October 2000. After that, it took him three months (January 2001) for him to find his form again. And then he was injured again in December 2002 in a friendly against Barcelona and it took him until March 2004 to recover. And then he got injured in a friendly against Viking in September 2006 and he didn't recover until March 2008. Then he got injured in a third-round cup tie in September 2011 and took until February 2013 to recover. He eventually got better at dodging (TFS Piccolo would be proud) the tackles in December 2015, tho.

Stephen McFreeze was an animal on the pitch. Not quite the flyer like his younger brother, but he was a the complete package. He would confuse defenders with his side to side head moves, and defensively he had a peculiar slide tackle were he would dive head first, back in the day he was envied by his peers who could never duplicate his move. The world will never see another talent like his again.

Obviously a difficult task, but I think Meazza takes it for Europe. Led the Italian league in goals as an 18 year old, outstanding dribbler and shooter, great with volleys, scored from bicycle kicks somewhat regularly, not AS good a passer as Cruyff, or as deep a thinker, but probably an even quicker thinker. To have meazza on your team was like starting the game up a goal, despite next level dirty defense. He’s the hardest legend to judge due to the lack of footage from that early.

Mate goals aren’t everything. If you use that logic then josef bican is the GOAT. And paulino wouldve won the ballon dor back then but it didnt even exist back then. Also the only reason why you say hes better is because your grandfather wasnt even alive when he retired. Hes not really well known but hes insane. He scored a hat trick on his debut for barcelona at 15! He was nicknamed the netbreaker as he would usually break the goal with his powerful shots. He scored 395 goals in 399 games for barca which is just ridiculous. Only messi, the GOAT himself beat the record. Which stood for almost a century

Okay, maybe it's my own personal bias because i come from Bremen, but i always considered Wynton Rufer to be the greatest Oceanian Footballer in history. While Kewell was also amazing and i was always a Liverpool sympathizer, Rufer was above and beyond anyone else. He was the first oceanian footballer to win the Bundesliga, DFB-Cup 2 times and the first to also win a european cup in 1992 and he also was the champions leagues top scorer in the season 93/94 I love Harry Kewell and don't wanna take away his accolades. But Harry was plaqued with several injuries in his careers to play on the top level that Rufer had.
@Joel-js2gk6 жыл бұрын
If Rafa Marquez had retired by now he'd surely be in with a shout for top North American of all time. Also once Keylor Navas retires he'll without question be in the mix as well. Was very surprised that Dwight Yorke wasn't given at least an honourable mention as top player from NA, he won several league titles with Man U as well as a Champions League title, something Hugo Sanchez never won. And he wasn't just a passenger either, in every trophy he won he was vital to his team. In fact, he was United's leading scorer in both league play and overall in their famous treble winning 1999 season. He wasn't just a goal scorer either, he was a playmaker as well. Also helped lead his country (Trinidad and Tobago) to their only ever world cup finals appearance in 2006 and captained his side there. Led A.Villa to a League Cup win (more impressive than it sounds.) All in all I think Yorke arguably had an even more impressive career than Hugo

Cruyff was a highly overrated, egotistical snob who has costed the Dutch 4! world titles. He played poorly in the WC 1974 final, didn't participate in 1978 because of threats made to his family but still was influential enough to say that someone like Willy van der Kuylen was not allowed to be selected. He was a factor in all the in-fighting in the 1990 squad and he taught Barcelona (and thus the Spanish) how to play football well, costing us the 2010 cup too.

Remember watching Stephen McFreeze, like Pele on steroids. Could play anywhere on the pitch and even played half a season in net in the 1949/50 due to injuries, and kept 14 clean sheets in the 14 games. Also remember a goal he scored whilst in net he caught a 30 yard thunder blaster from Andreas Iceberg (of Swedish heritage and another footballing legend in Antarctica) then proceeded to dribble the entire length of the pitch rounding the keeper before flicking the ball up and scorpion kicking into an empty net...... what a player, will never see the likes of him again. R.I.P
@heinzdoofenshmirtz86435 жыл бұрын
He was brilliant, no doubt, but a bit overrated. Now, Jürgen Chillsman, that's a player. He has the unique feat of being the first Antarctic player to never spend a single season in the Antarctic league. He began his career in the 1920/1921 season, when he played for Preston North End for a whopping thirty five years, right up until the end of the 1949/1950 season, winning lots of trophies and individual awards. He moved to Everton in the 1950/1951 season, spending no less than twenty years there, winning a lot. After the 1969/1970 season, he moved from Everton to play outside England for the first time, for Bayern München. He spent only ten years there, but he was exceptional in his decade in Germany. From 1979/1980 to 1984/1985, he played for Barcelona, before a season with Real Madrid. In the 1986/1987 season to the 1996/1997 he played for half the goddamn clubs in Serie A. 1997/1998 he played for PSG, but his season was marred by injuries. He still managed to score ten goals in the three games following his first recovery. 1998/1999 he returned to England to play for Manchester United, winning the treble. He played 1999/2000, 2000/2001, 2001/2002 and 2002/2003 for various clubs outside Europe on loan from Arsenal, before winning the league with the Gunners undefeated. He spent the next season playing for Liverpool, winning the Champions League. My memory is a bit fuzzy about who he signed for in 2005/2006, but he played for another non-European club on loan. He also did so, but with different club in 2006/2007. In 2007/2008 he played for Tottenham for a season. He was on loan to different clubs from other clubs in 2008/2009, 2009/2010, and 2010/2011. He played for Manchester City for the first half of 2011/2012, but never appeared for them in any cups, so he wasn't cup-tied to City. In the second half, he moved to Chelsea. In 2012/13 he moved back to Bayern for a season, winning the treble. Then he played a season with Real, a season for Barcelona and then Leicester City. In 2016/17 he spent a season back with Chelsea. Then he spent a few months in Norway with Rosenborg, before retiring.

Kyle Freezebrain was a much better player.. He stood 7 ft. Tall, weighet 110 kilograms and was pure muscle, earning him the nickname "The Polar Bear" His defensive contribution was out of this world. He won 130% of his aerial duels and averaged over 9,5 tackles and interserptions per game in 20 seasons as captain of FC Avelanche in the Antarctican League 1. A true legend.

And he won that international cup. So he really didn't need to play in Europe. He dominated world cup as a teenager best player of the world cup in Sweden you start to think that you have no competition in Europe as well. No really big money difference back then so obviously he chose to live in his home country. And his team never showed to not be world class and sometimes Santos was legit the best team in the world. So he pretty much proved all he needed to prove. Moreover back then it wasn't so much clear and obvious that there would be this much difference in Europe and south American leagues. During pele times Uruguay and Brazil hosted massive world cups bigger than the one in Sweden. From his perspective Brazilian league is like bundesliga today. Muller will probably retire with Munich so did pele with his team but he grabbed some extra money from the USA in New York which is a good retirement pension plan
@1remista16 жыл бұрын
The South American teams were really weak at 58, 62 and 70. In fact, Brazil needed to call exactly 0 (zero) players from the European Leagues to win these 3 titles. All the players who played for Brazil in 58, 62 and 70 were playing in the domestic league. So... maybe you are right... you seem to know what you r talking about.

Surely for Australasia/Oceania, it has to be Christian Karembeu. Born in New Caledonia. Won the World Cup, European Championship & Confederation Cup with France. He also won two Champions Leagues with Real Madrid and won other trophies at other clubs. He is a better player and has a better CV than Harry Kewell. I think English bias came in here due to his career in England.

Pelé and Cruyff are the right choices. Too many people think of 1986 but are apparently ignorant of Maradona's failings and faults. Europe top 7: Cruyff, Puskas, C.Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckenbauer, Eusebio, Platini (+ Yashin, Maldini, Matthaus, Van Basten, Baresi, Van Basten, Muller, Meazza, Henry, Charlton, Scirea, Best, Charles, Gullit, Baggio, Buffon). South America: Pelé, Messi, Ronaldo, Di Stefano, Maradona, Garrincha, Ronaldinho (+ Zico, Romario, Moreno, Andrade, Figueroa, N.Santos, Leonidas, Passarella, Schiaffino, Didi, Cafu, Erico, Neymar)

Forgot to mention Hugo Sanchez won 5 pichichi awards in La Liga, makes the official all time XI of both Real and Atlético (don't believe me? check the official club websites) Is 4th all-time top scorer of La Liga 3rd highest scoring foreigner after Cr7 and Messi, and holds the record for the most over head kick goals. He won the European golden boot but unfortunately could not be as prolific for Mexico. Also cracks the list of the best 100 players ever, and IFFHS top 25 players of the century. FIFA.com credits him as the creator of the scorpion kick which René Higuita later performed in goal vs England which many believe he created.

@Zen.Nicola4 жыл бұрын
@@Prince-qr1te Cruijff reinvented the football, he played in every area of the field and transformed the teams in which he played (let's be serious, Ronaldo played in already great teams), Johan Cruijff not only won cups, badges, golden balls in different countries as three or four greats in the history of football, he did something that no one else has been able to do, Maradona was all genius and intemperance, Pelé infinite class and millimeter football, Johan Cruijff instead not only made football like them with the ball, but he "reinvented" it again with his head, the others served and pampered the ball, he forced it at his command, born leader after all, it was a genetic combination of class, physical strength, agility and coordination of the gesture, he had the sublime ability to manage the field like a conductor, when Ajax won three champions' cups from 71 to 73 and his Holland enchanted the world only losing in the final against Muller and Beckenbauer's West Germany, but we all understood that a new era had begun thanks to those guys dressed in orange, and if still today the Barcelona of Messi that everything enchants plays a choral and bewitching football is because this gentleman first on the field and then on the bench of the blaugrana taught to see football as a concert, the soloists in the service of the collective, the physical strength that becomes grace and is released in flight with that majesty and beauty that we may never see again. " November 15, 1964, is not only the date of the debut in professional football of a 17-year-old Dutch boy orphaned by a greengrocer, no it is a fundamental date for this sport, it is the date that marks the beginning of a new era, yes because from now on not only will you play football never seen before, you will play football never "thought" before, and that is why we can divide the history of football in what happened before and what happened after this game, in what happened before and after Cruijff.

Europe has produced many more all time greats than south America
@mikenauta2566 жыл бұрын
RXM WOOKIE Nope. brasil probably had made the most greatest players. But in total europe defeats south america. Because of germany, the netherlands, spain, england and italie. And a small part of players by portugal, denmark and france. So don't talk trash. There are more european legends then south american.
@mikenauta2566 жыл бұрын
RXM WOOKIE south america XI probably would beat europe XI but europe got more all time greatest and don't forget that cruyff is on the same level as pele and maradonna. And also don't forget koemand, gullit, van basten, keizer, gerd muller, ferdinand and beckam. And where are your goalies because their not better then. Van der sar, seaman and schmeichel.
@pedropires45286 жыл бұрын
Robert Moore You are stupid if you think Europe produced only 15 players... let me tell you good top 20 of all time. 1-Maradona 2- Messi 3-Pele 4-Cristiano Ronaldo 5-Zidane 6- Cruyff 7-Di Stefano 8- Beckenbauer 9- Zico 10- Ronaldo 11-Platini 12-Puskas 13-Garrincha 14-Eusebio 15-Matthaus 16-Charlton 17- George Best 18- Van Basten 19-Maldini 20- Ronaldinho. So if you see well actually Europe has more but I'm not defending Europe I respect South America and it's true they have for me the three best players of all time and I love many of them but honestly overall I think both are very balanced so think first before you write
@mikenauta2566 жыл бұрын
Robert Moore funny how you put messi and ronaldo above cruyff I can't even take you serious now. Just because he don't got mentioned doesn't mean he wasn't on the level of maradonna the man that used his hands to score or pele that never played in the european league but in the south american league where you got no worthy opponents. Cruyff the player that formed total football the first to play the 4-3-3 systeem under one of the best coaches ever lived called rinus michels. And later formed barca and even was responsible voor the spanish tiki taka. Messi is formed bij cruyff so he devently is not on the same level as cruyff. Their is one level that can never be reached and there are only three players eho belong their. And that is pele maradonna and Cruyff.
