I cannot express my appreciation enough. I care for my mom 24/7( She's 85) and my son (17). I don't think mom would be able to live on my sailboat, so land traveling will be our MOT. Have watched many of your vids, thank you so much!! Your channel doesn't get the subscribers it deserves. Be well.

You’ll need to occupy the campsite. I’ve seen some with a van or Class B camper setup a tent just to secure their campsite while out for the day. Lou

Great review again Lou. We had a fantastic time during our stay at dupuis. It's really nice having a campground host there as well to keep an eye on things. Not sure if you made it down to the end of the 8-mile washboarded road in the water management area but there's a beautiful small lake/pond as well.

There are 3 campsites at Dupuis. ALL are wonderful in their own right. We have a group of families with kids who love to camp and we get together enough people (8) to reserve the group campground which is way off of the highway and much quieter. We have never been there that we did not see lots of wildlife. PS: It South Florida WMD, NOT South West.

Looking for info on the permits for this park. I’m not familiar with any of the permits or how to get them for Florida. I just discovered your channel. I’m not sure how easy it would be to RV through the winter months at these campgrounds but I would much rather be in our RV than renting the itty-bitty camper with the lanai/mobile home that we’re paying $1600 a month for. Thank you. We may just give this a whirl next year.

when I made my reservation for 3/18/2023 I was not given a site number and I notice in your video that there are site numbers, did they make a change ?...thank you !
@LivingOurDreamNow Жыл бұрын
Consult the campground host upon arrival. Just because sites have been numbered does not necessarily mean that sites will be assigned. Prior the sites being identified by number it was a free for all with campers potentially encroaching upon one another. It still may be first-come, first served for campsite selection after entering with your reservation. Lou

At ~3:50 you mention that you are allowed to run a generator, though the rules you read say otherwise. Would a very quiet Honda generator (EU3000IS) be frowned upon? Thank you!

I've seen were several people say that they stay in parks and campgrounds here and there, and that you have to call some number to book the locations. "Possession or consumption of alcohol is prohibited"??? Seriously??? Nothing like making legal mature adults criminals for having a couple of beers. I was pretty excited about this place till I read that. Apparently you can smoke reefer and have a firearm though, so there's that...

When I stayed there a jerk with a super loud generator ran it way past quiet hours, most of the night probably until it ran out of gas, it was ridiculously loud and could be heard throughout the entire campground, I had earplugs in sleeping in my suv and could still hear it very clearly, I had to put on headphones with music to drown it out. I think the muffler was broken. Total piece of garbage generator ruining the experience for the entire campground, so lame. Definitely not peaceful.
@LivingOurDreamNow2 жыл бұрын
Yep - it only takes one person to rain on everyone. There is a campground host at this location. Lou
@vibelife51332 жыл бұрын
@@LivingOurDreamNow I wanted to report him to the host, but the host heard it just like everyone else, they probably were friends of the host, they had tons of stuff spread out across their site like they had moved in. I have never heard such a loud generator. I loved the campground, but the noise was horrendous, I'll try it again and hopefully have better luck.
