Hello there - I'm glad you've taken the time to look at my videos and this description box!
My name is Frank and I've been teaching post-graduate programs in technical subjects for almost 25 years. My Master's Degree is in Learning and Technology (from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC - where they filmed the X-Men movies!).
I'm a Microsoft Certified Trainer (since 1998), a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (since 1999), and have a lot of different technical certifications (I even had my own consultancy and was a member of the Apple Consultants Network for a few years. I like technology a lot.
I've been fascinated with learning and how to improve learning for years. Especially how to leverage technology for learning. From productivity Applications like Teams, OneNote, Excel, and the entire Microsoft Office suite to tools such as Mindmapping, Metaverse, VR, AR, and more - I like to see how we can use tools to leverage our ability to teach and learn.
Learning and Technology KZbin is about helping students and teachers improve their learning by leveraging technology tools. Whether remote teaching, distance learning, hybrid teaching, or completely in the classroom - we can use technology to enhance our skills. Thanks for liking my words. Please tell me that can I use the normal behaviour of cursor while I am using Zoom feature. I just want to type while zooming, but i can't. Is it possible?

Thanks! You are correct about the sound - it’s a pretty basic screen recorder - but it’s handy for a fast capture to demonstrate something. For more complex screen recording I use Camtasia. It’s pretty amazing - but also comes with a cost.

Nice Video. Downloading this tool. Question. How can I use this with a stylus , its difficult to draw with a mouse. I have a cheap drawing tablet from Amazon, but seems to only work in Paint. Or is there a type of mouse that makes drawing/annotations easier?

I use a tablet for drawing as well - you’d have to test the one you have, but it’s not too complex of a function and should work well with most any tablet.

For really detailed screen recording, I tend to use a commercial tool called Camtasia that allows me to record 4K screens

My main screen recording program is Camtasia - then I use some other video editing software for my studio movies (Wondershare)

Fantastic Free tool, for Windows. It's shame I'm a Mac user so it will not work for me (I don't think it ever exist a Free tool like that for Mac). Anyway, I gave you thumbs up for informing it! Cheers!

I liked this and downloaded it. However, to go one step further, how would I pout in an inset of live video to show, say, my face narrating what I am annotating on the screen while using Zoomit?

For that - I use Teams. So I’ll start a Teams meeting, share the screen I’m annotating, record the meeting and then I have both my webcam and shared screen in the Teams meeting recording.

This is specifically a Microsoft tool - on my Mac, I use some software that I pay for. Are you looking for just free tools - or are you okay with ones that cost money? I don’t know of free Mac ones.
