I had a light come on and went to parts store. Scan tool said it was catalytic converter. The salesperson said to try the royal purple max clean. I tried it and no more check engine light. Plus I saved $800 bucks by not having to buy a new catalytic converter 😊

I watched a video with 5 of these items and placing rusted parts in a jar. The best of the 5 was BG44, mystery oil came in second. I’m going with Marvel Mystery oil. BG44 works too well, so well that I’m afraid it could remove too much gunk and maybe cause other issues. I Might use if my car didn’t have over 200k miles, but newer cars, suggest you do more KZbin searches as BG44 seems to be very good product.

I've been using gumout fuel injection cleaner on my old 01 Tacoma for the last ten years , I usually add it once every two months and can feel the difference in engine power increase almost immediately .

ACDelco Fuel System Treatment Plus is made by Chevron. The ingredients are similar to Chevron's Techron Concentrate Plus but not identical. It might be that it is formulated to address deposit issues specific to newer GM engines.

In WW1 & WW2 plane mechanics used Marvel Mystery Oil ( essentially kerosene and other additives)! Ill go for that if warplane pilots did in combat aircraft!
