Don't know how you didn't like Divinity Original Sin 2. It is incredible. Honestly it's probably superior to bg3 in some ways.

Yeah, just didn't grip me for some reason. From memory I think the inventory system annoyed me and I didn't click with the setting in the same way.

I second XCOM 2... Despite all its flaws it has something no other game has managed to equal yet. Funny enough I also came back to it this year and has been my top played game on Steam. I've also tried mods for the first time a few months ago and... well, the played hours keep increasing.

There are some great mods for the game that really change things up and extend the lifespan massively. Long War to name but one! (Although I've never finished it - the length of the campaign in Long War is no joke!)

I play is with Long War of Chosen, this is now my only playghtrough. Danm, its hard.
