Thanks for the round up of games, Mike and Harrison! I didn't attend PAX, so it was awesome to hear about the games you two liked the most!

Thanks Dani! Hope you are having a fun December

Hi Harrison! Your list is great, thank you for sharing it with us! I hope we will see you again soon.

Nice to see one of your sons pop up on the video again. I hope that if and whenever you get review copies of the games that were on both of your lists, both of you can play them together in the review video and review those games together.

Trying to record two players at the same time kind of destroys my entire recording setup at the moment, but I’ll do my best

Sorry I missed you at PAXU! I was there on Friday. My game of the con was one in the Unpub room - Twin Rulers a 1v1 card game which is very polished and very strategic. Maybe we can meet up next year? Glad you had a great time. I did too as I picked up Gloomhaven Buttons and Bugs, Final Girl - Big Top (that completes my collection!) and Flip 7 for the family

Hope your game demoed well with everyone, and it sounds like you picked up some great games

I second this!! I love all the commentary relevant to if he got to beat dad or not!

@themennoknight that’s 90% of his enjoyment when we play competitive games 😜

This game is Killer is such a fun time. It sort of captures that Alien feel, but in a condensed format. I mean you could play it like 30+ times in the time it takes to play one game of Nemesis.
@OneStopCoopShopАй бұрын
Haha, that was the exact take I had. Nemesis in 5 minutes 😜

Cool to see Galaxy Fighters on here, wasn't sure that would get much attention from people, and I thought it looked like a pretty neat one. Also spoke with the designer and know he's working on ways to potentially add in true solo as well!

Little Alchemists is SO GOOD for board gaming parents and their kids!!! I am already a huge fan of Alchemists. Little Alchemists has become my 7 year olds favorite board game and while she has already liked board games before this is the one that has propelled her to asking to play lots more board games tenfold. Has probably my favorite progression through complexity and curious to find others that do so just as good or better. Now my favorite to recommend to board gaming parents.

We are right there with you. We just unlocked level 6 and we are loving how this is ramping up each game. CGE has done an awesome job

Back Stories is good :) I love the system, can't wait to see the future stories :) Dungeon Legends is in the same universe as Chronicles of Avel :) And your son is adorable, good job! 🎉

I actually hadn’t heard of Avel before, but some Discord members explained the basics of that game to me :)

We were in Philly too. Did you play/see Katmai? My wife and tried it and was good.
@OneStopCoopShopАй бұрын
I hadn't heard of it before, but it looks really cool! Honestly, prior to the con I went through the full list of publishers and wrote down every solo/co-op game I wanted to try out (since that's what I'll be covering in the future on the channel). The competitive games I played with my son were mostly just things that we stumbled into or that someone told us to go try :)

For Little Alchemists, do you feel like it could work for more casual or mid-weight adult gamers if you went to opening some or all of the later boxes? I tried it at BGG CON and saw the potential but didn't get to open the later half. For context, The Search for Planet X is one of my favorites, and it can get a little overhwelming for some in my group. Also, I don't have kids haha but My Little Scythe still works for my friends and I.
@OneStopCoopShopАй бұрын
Yeah, in the later boxes you have more ingredients, more type of potions, more complex theories, etc. I’m having a lot of fun, and an adult gamer I taught it to (starting at level 5) said it was a bit too much for them. So I think it’s suitable for non-children 😜

My jumping skunk was a well-drawn masterpiece. I am disappointed in Harrison's appreciation for abstract art.
