Did you have any issues with eye strain or eye fatigue when using this monitor for extended periods of time? I had a MSI 271QPX (which uses the same QD-OLED panel as the FO27Q3), but I had to return it because it caused me so much eye strain.

I've got the msi monitor you mentioned and don't suffer of any eye strain
@TyroneBF6 ай бұрын
I had to use a LED light above the screen to combat the eye strain/headaches. It has something to do with OLED pwm flicker and a niche amount of OLED users experiencing it (me included). Ever since the change and turning off HDR I've had no issues. Some of us are just extremely sensitive to this lighting method.

I’ve spoken with Gigabyte. They are basically the same monitor other than the refresh rate. I think the heat sink might be smaller internally because of that which also makes it a little lighter in weight also.

@@thevagrantgaming Wasn't the Q2 also a QD-OLED panel from last year? It might not be quite as good as this years panel. Edit: some sources say they are both the latest, making 240Hz a much better buy for me since my PC isn't going to run anything at 360fps anyway,.

Thanks for the upload. I’m new to monitors, and want to know if setting the Xbox Series X to 4K although the panel is native 1440p okay? Will it make the image worse?
@NoverianSnowCone4 ай бұрын
It has HDMI 2.1 so the XSX will downscale the image from 4K to 1440p. The benefits of this, is that the image will look a little cleaner with AA, as opposed to a native 1440p image or upscaled from 1080p. That being said, you're leaving money on the table as the XSX will only go up to 120hz (on games that even bother with that). Just something to bear in mind.

I sent mine back yesterday after 2 weeks of use. There was a few reasons for that but the main one was the glossy finish that made me unable to work with text editor because all I saw was my own mirror every time I worked with editor that had dark background. Also the panel is really dim against classic IPS one and I could not get the result I expected from it. The last thing was that with any light source coming into my room the panel was not pitch black but had purple tint because of the anti-glare filter used. The only was to solve all of this issues was to block any light source but I refuse to sit in a room that has zero light coming in just to enjoy my new monitor. Maybe if I lived in underground bunker with zero light that thing would be good for me but for now its hard pass. Ill try mini led as my next monitor.
