Me again, Kind of contemplating doing the Cold Air Intake because I hear that the washer fluid from factory sucks ass. I don't even use the washer fluid simply because I detail clean my car fairly often. And once you get into ceramic coats, having wiper blades alone is silly because water just slips off. But I'm also trying to make those fake vents functional by drilling out the holes and putting some kind of mesh that will help resist water from entering but also allow heat to escape that could also help in the engine bay's sauna department.
@RspecNick3 жыл бұрын
If you did go that route they do sell a washer relocation kit with a smaller tank from remnant performance. The vents I actually wanted to swap too but with me daily driving it and it being stored outside the engine bay would get crazy dirty along with non stop water and snow falling into it. They make vents with a mesh backing from 3.8 performance but at that rate I'd probably just cave and go carbon hood and get a garage to store the genny and Subaru

23K good luck. They are becoming rarer and rarer. It's all about supply and demand. Not just the fact that stand-alone 'used' car prices have gone nuts. I've seen one (1) owner, 16's with under 20K miles go for as much as 31K (plus tax of course).

It's not hard honestly out of all of the stuff I've done to my genny the only ones that were alittle ify was swapping springs and running the oil cooler. The springs because if the spring compressors fail getting hit by a loaded spring would be rough and the oil cooler fittings if they were to tight it would leak and if it wasn't tight enough it would leak.

What does the throttle body spacer do?
@RspecNick4 жыл бұрын
Not much honestly with the genesis maybe 1whp it more so adds intake noise and gives you the option to run meth in the 1/8 port hole it has. Sometimes it smooths out power curve as well but I'm not tuned so I'm not sure if that's 100% with the gen coupe.
@SpoderFromSaturn3 жыл бұрын
Thinking about getting a 2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8L soon! I am pumped, idk what im gonna do first, maybe wheels or intake? Any ideas haha Also what would be a good price range for one of these
@RspecNick3 жыл бұрын
Okay so your looking for a 09-2012 (BK1) genny. Honestly I'd pick wheels before the intake. Most the intake setups for the genesis actually kill the performance on the car. AEM and 3point8 performance cold air intakes are the only cold air intakes that actually help. Even then at that point if you just use the stock air box with a k&n drop in filter nets about the same power for a third of the money. Price wise I wouldnt pay more then 11k for a bk1 even with low miles. I see 2013-2016 (bk2) gennys sell for under 14k all day long so the first gen should be way cheaper.
@SpoderFromSaturn3 жыл бұрын
@@RspecNick Yeah the one i found is almost $10k which i think is pretty decent, miles are a bit higher than i want but itll do, are there any other mods that are worth it? Like maybe exhaust system or some suspension work, 3.8 is already pretty powerful for the price from what ive seen online which is what i like, im definitely going to do wheels first.
@RspecNick3 жыл бұрын
@@SpoderFromSaturn sounds about normal price wise then. Theres a few things that helps for NA power like the manifold riser,headers,catback. Solo performance catback is pretty good but if you want more torque go with the single exit isr exhaust. They are fun cars if maintenance is kept up with tho
