Man people’s reaction to the best surprise in Pokemon is always the best. Ultra Necrozma was surprisingly strong but like, you knew what you were getting into the second after its first attack. Giratina lets you think you won before revealing that you indeed have lost this one.

I'm so happy that Pokémon did Giratina justice. When talking about Giratina's statue, the idle theme for Platinum's homescreen with Giratina's silhouette plays. They gave Giratina development where, after being defeated, he calms down and realizes his mistake, and then decides to protect the world instead of trying to destroy it, hence his interference with Cyrus' plans in Platinum and him being calm and more neutral towards the player whenever it flies by or just studies him before the fight in the Distortion world. Also, his reasoning to help Volo makes perfect sense, as he was banished to the Distortion world possibly just for causing destruction unintentionally (as the creator of anti-matter, just being in the main world would cause massive amounts of damage), so he flew into a rage and wanted revenge.

@@jannfredryckmatias3545 It kind of is thanks to action economy. Basically the pokemon with the most turns is generally going to win the battle. Get a fast enough pokemon with a move like Quick Attack and then, by switching between normal and Agile Style depending on turn order, you get nearly infinite turns. Yeah, the move won't do much damage, especially in Agile Style, but it'll be a death by a thousand cuts and there'd be nothing the opposing pokemon could do to stop it.

While it's definitely broken it's also not a competitive game so I can overlook that. Plus what I like much more about this game is that the Speed stat doesn't decide games. You can't sweep with a fast Pokémon, the opponent will always have a chance to attack and retaliate. That's what makes Volo so interesting:You beat one of his Pokémon, he sends in a counter and immediately attacks with it, potentially one-shotting it

I ended up getting spoiled before the fight, but if I had ran into the fight carelessly and blind, I would've lost instantly. My team wasn't bad by all means (Samurott, Sylveon, Goodra, Arcanine, Gallade, and Zoroark), and I never had to resort to Cresselia or anything, but this fight can punish you heavily for any mistakes

Bro i was OVER leveled my first go and was still butt fucked. The almost perfect team? Two legendary fights with Alpha boosts and a Signature move that increases evasion? All with the correct natures and also EL boosts? The already wacky and different stat/damage calculation in this game. No matter how you slice it, its just a difficult fight. No matter your skill level. Even those that beat it their first go only walked out with 2-3 pokemon, and most of them used legendaries. The Volo fight is the "kick in the ass" the fanbase has needed for a long time.

I had no idea what was coming but I managed to pull it off myself. My team was level 62-78 (zoroark, gyarados, sylveon, infernape, kleavor, and garchomp), I had access to crafting/buying max revives and max potions, everyone had at least one set up move each, and finally, everyone was gritted up to max in all stats. I remember being down to Sylveon and managing to pull out the win with him in the end.

I love how all these streamers, or at least most of them had Legendaries in their teams and struggled and I am just sitting here with a very basic team of Typhlosion, Glaceon, Glascor, Braviary, Lilligant, and Goodra and I beat him in a single try lol. And my pokemon were around the same, if not lower than their pokemon.

Similar to me. My highest leveled pokemon was Decidueye at level 80, next was Alpha Gyarados lvl 73, Alpha Garchomp lvl 72, Alpha Froslass and Gardevoir both lvl 70, and Magnezone lvl 68. Only my Decidueye and Magnezone were left

My highest level was 84 while the others was in the 70s. My team is typhlosion, ursaluna, kleavor, electrode, goodra and zoroark. Ursaluna took down volo team by himself. Giratina came in and I was like ok this is a thing now. He knock out ursaluna and zoroark took out his first form. Did half damage on second form and typhlosion finished the rest.

Gonna be honest, I think the people who designed this fight probably expected people to use legendaries, and it's why when people have legendaries on the team it doesn't work. Palkia and Dialga are both dragon, so are both weak to dragon, Palkia is also a water type, which Volo has a counter for on his team. Dialga is weak to a few things on his team (cough cough lucario) and the same goes for other legendaries. I kinda think the play is to go without touching the legendaries and just level up a team to 70 or above. Make sure you have as much type coverage as possible, and diversify your move pool
