Welp you just sold me on getting the cascade. Been shopping for a .300 win mag for a while but now ive made up my mind. thank you

I think you’ll be happy with it! I just went out with a buddy and let him borrow my Cascade and he shot a mule deer at 400 yards. He liked it so much he’s now shopping for one!

I haven’t tried the cascade but I have the same scope except with 50mm objective lense on my bergara 22-250 and it’s amazing

It’s hard to beat for the price point!

@@NorthwestOutdoorsWithRusty I agree and I might pick up a cva at some point but right now I’ve been playing with a savage axis and it’s been a lot of fun

Have a cva cascade on .308 and it hates any of yhe 150 grain ammo Was disappointed until i tried 165 corlok, shoots this sub moa consistently. Will be passing this rifle to grandkids. Bolt is smooth and feeds every time. Stock is generously free floated and is better than other like pricef rifles. Excuse the spelling errors as i am 77 amd finger does not always hit where i am aiming unlike the cva.

I appreciate the feedback! It might help some others with the .308 and get them on the right type of ammo.

So the Weatherby Vanguard is a little cheaper. I am dirt poor, and I made the mistake of buying a Savage 334 in 243. The trigger is horrible, luckily I know a gun smith that will fix it for $50. Just let me know your thoughts on that gun.

It's a bummer to hear that the Savage wasn't up to par. I'd stick with models that have the accutrigger and I see that the 334 doesn't come with it. Luckily triggers are fairly easy to upgrade. I appreciate the feedback!

Good review! I was looking at the cascade in 450 bushmaster. Im not a fan of proprietary mags, Id like to see companies like cva offer a hinged floorplate option, and a aics pattern mag option. Other then that, its definitely a rifle Id be interested in.

Thanks! I will say that the feeding on the 300 win mag has been extremely smooth and I’ve never had an issue. I know that can vary depending on cartridge so not sure about the 450 bushmaster.

Solid review, appreciate the real world tidbits! And the pace of the video. I'm really considering the lhr in 6.5 PRC, I hunt mainly Midwest white tail, and under 150 yards but I want to plink at distance and maybe chase some other big game, LHR seems to be a decent option., much like the original. Cascade. This vid should have way more views!

I have a 6.5 PRC in a savage ultralight and I really like that cartridge. I’ve taken mule deer, white tail, bear, and an elk with it. If you pick the right projectile that is a super versatile option!

Thanks for doing this. I have not yet heard a negative on CVA rifles anywhere.

True. You can get great rifles for under 1k. Spend as much or more on optics.

Modern machining really has stepped up the accuracy game in mass produced rifles for sure!

Yeah, and there are a number of choices, several including muzzle threading, good triggers, cerakote or similar, adjustable stocks, etc. It’s pretty incredible.
