@FortNine You wasted my time with your #1 pick as I’m not interested in gloves that have no protection. Your #5 pick while possibly good for cold wet weather really didn’t help me as I already have a similar glove that provides both cold/wet protection as well as armor with an internal water proof cuff and an outer protective cuff that allows any water that gets under my cold weather/wet weather jacket sleeves to drain out and away from my wrists! I was hoping that you could steer me in the direction of a good hot weather glove that was light in construction and well designed with knuckle and finger armor panels, I did like your #2 pick with the exception of it’s obvious heavyweight construction! If they offered that same protection product in another glove design, I might consider paying the price tag on such a glove! I currently own a pair of Scorpion EXO gloves that are breathable, but I’d like them to breathe more freely!!! They do have the knuckle and finger armor with strong impact/slide panels in the palm areas; so for my money, that’s the kind of glove I’m looking for(I still wish they offered more air flow through the glove)!!!

Only the Icon Rimfires are worth getting if you value your hands. There are many other short-cuff gloves that go with cruisers and that will protect the hands in an off. Look for palm sliders as well as sliders on the top of the hand. See what is the armor on the knuckles. What about the type of threading used to stitch the gloves? Reinforced outseams with full-length leather panel/s? I've seen plenty of cases of destroyed hands using shorties. You don't want to see what a hand looks like after crashing at 50 mph with cheap gloves.

I'm just curious. Have you ever looked into hatch gloves for a lightweight alternative? I know that they're more geared towards tactical use. But it seems that you don't mind looking into other options with similar functions such as abrasion resistance or flexibility. I figured that the materials and design of some of their gloves might be worth looking at. I've used the hatch operator gauntlet gloves more often than not, for almost a decade of driving and work. But some of their hard knuckled gloves might be worth your time. The ones that I bought are exceedingly comfortable, and remain in good shape.

I use the oakley si assault gloves... very breathable decent protection on the top and flexible, though the palm is too thin, the icon pursuits are nice as well but don't last long for the price. any one else?

Silly question but I've been trying like crazy to find a pair of gloves with rubber on the fingers if you look at the ones that Mel Gibson wears in the old Mad Max movie and I had some as a kid I would really like to find some of these maybe you can help me if not thanks for taking the time to at least read this message

As always, your reviews are appreciated. However, what would you recommend for winter cruiser riding gloves that's really not going to freeze your hands... and also not wired? I have bought good name brands that are price ranged from $35 to $115 but they're disappointing. My wife is starting to think I am into collecting gloves. What features do I need to look for (thinsulate, gore-tex, etc.)? I can also use something that you might have already reviewed but have nor seen it yet... one that would not hurt my pockets too would be nice. Thank you so much.... looking forward to your U.S. market. Do it before someone builds a wall :)

Hey Pablo! Look for a manufacturer that also plays in the snowmobile world... they tend to do warm gloves better than anyone. Scott comes to mind, and their Priority GT glove (fortnine.ca/en/scott-priority-gt-gloves) will look good on your cruiser. It has Gore-Tex, thinsulate and a fleece lining... all good things to look for. There are some non-Gore-Tex gloves that are even cheaper, but if you ride in the rain a lot, I'd go with Gore-Tex as it's the only thing that doesn't start leaking over time. Hope that helps! ~RyanF9

@Paul H. This may be 5yrs too late but I bought a pair of Scorpion EXO TEMPEST gauntlet gloves last fall specifically for winter weather riding. They have two cuffs, the inside cuff is fully waterproof with an elastic gather and an outer cuff that is also waterproof, but it allows for any water that could get past the sleeves of your jacket to drain out away from your wrists! They are only insulated on the back of the glove/hand and work best with heated grips!!! And boy do they work well with the heated grips!!!

First pair looks like fetish gear. Second pair looks like they would be tucked in the belt of the construction worker in the Village People. Third pair looks like goalkeeper's gloves. Fourth pair looks like gloves a cookiecutter female spy would wear in a cliche movie.

Your two reviews of the Outlaw have conflicting comments on the leather thickness... Your best gloves under $50 video says its made with thick leather while this vid says its thin leather. I can testify that the leather is thin. Somehow I missed this video and only saw the other. I was a little disappointing when I received the outlaw, the leather is very thin. I am a little nervous about going for a slid in them. Additional, they have a weird cut, they are tight in across the knuckles but loos at the wrist. This is causing the seams to split only after 4K miles. But damn... they look good!

D3o in the knuckle (which becomes rigid upon impact) and the multiple/ miniature steel "pucks" act as tiny sliders. It's not that weird if you think about it. I'd rather have a palm slider than a knuckle if I go down bc it minimizes the force going thru your wrists.
