I find Apple Airpods Pro 2 make my left ear tinnitus go away. Not completely, but greatly reduced. This is also for the Airpods Max and recent Bose Ultra headphones. The over ears not for longer listens.

I sold most of the headphones you recommended even though I have tinnitus. The reason being they sounded too warm and seemed to mask high frequencies which I found frustrating. Despite having tinnitus I still prefer bright sounding headphones as I always have before I had tinnitus. I can still enjoy the Grado Hemp with the large G cushions, HifiMan HE1000SE or the Sennheiser HD 800s as long as I listen to them at reasonable volume (below 80 dbs).

Hello and apologies if this seems untrusting but is this advice based on conversations with audiologist / ENT type experts - referring to the idea that open backed headphones are better than either close backed or in ear headphones. I already have tinnitus and, as you can imagine, I don’t want to risk it getting worse. Thanks!

I have the DCA Aeon 2’s, great set, super comfortable and easy to wear for longer time periods. I don’t have tinnitus but can see how these would be incredible useful and enjoyable for audio lovers with or without tinnitus. Cheers Dr Jeff

I've got tinnitus, I have Focal Elears- dip in 4k frequency, plus an EQ on Chord Mojo 2 is a big help. Plus I'll always choose high quality copper cables. It's the 4k region which I need damping down. The Clear MG was too bright for me. I was already looking at the Empyrean as an upgrade. I do love Focals but, after a good few hours they give me a bit of a headache on the top of the head. Also tempted by the Meze 109 Pro as I love dynamic drivers, but have heard some say that they can have treble peaks. No substitute for trying them on and listening for yourself but it's a bit tricky these days- big lack of dealers here in the UK.

Having spent over 4 decades rocking a trigger and loving high quality musical playback….having said that ..I’m a big fans of IEM’s ..as they have great sound that in order to replicate on headphones..they become ungodly expensive.

I've been working in a factory for 25 years and my ears are destroyed and i have a strong tinnitus...I had to left my work and I dont want to stop playing the guitar but i have to sell all my tube amps and use digitals apps... Any other model of headphones but cheap for poor people like me? Thanks!!!

It can be dependent on the person, but we have heard good things about the Focal Bathys in Transparent mode. The noise cancelling modes in wireless headphones often build up the pressure in the earcup which can make tinnitus worse, but in transparent mode it will work well for most people.
