Thanks a lot for the video, Blake! It was super helpful!

Great review for overall comparison. Thanks. I think I need that Phonak AI for my variable hearing loss and constant differences in environment at work (industrial) I also have a wish list for some reason priced over-the-counter ones for casual use. My current Phonaks (and whatever I buy next) are so expensive that I am afraid to wear them for non-work hours. My problem is that my left ear just has age related mild loss while my right ear is much worse due to a medical condition from many years ago. This may disqualify all of the over the counter ones.

Thank you for this, got Phonak about a year ago, but have recently been diagnosed with Sudden deaf syndrome, got completely deaf on one ear. So I am now waiting for a CROS🤞🤞🤞

An added factor is software. The Resound app allows adjusting frequency response using a graph, as well as preprogrammed modes. The Phonak app allows changing modes a bit. However, I found the communication between app and hearing aid was erratic, and returned my audéo I90 twice, finally for good, because this poor functionality was annoying, with both the original and replacement devices. Phonak needs to fix this issue.

Thanks much. Regarding the Sennheisers, many of the reviews on Amazon suggest they’re not good for conversation in noisy environments, e.g. restaurants. That’s my main concern. Do you agree that these are not all that capable in noisy environments, or do you have a different opinion?

Good question. Personally I find that they do well in noise. All hearing aids take some getting used to, but Sennheiser has quite mature sound quality to my ear. It’s also the least returned product we have right now among customers. Thanks for watching!

I purchased Beyond after watching your previous video, honestly a lot of it's features were very unexpected, and the tinnitus mask has been very useful for me.

So glad to hear that! The feedback has been quite positive. Perhaps surprising to us as well since we’ve struggled to find something in this price range.

Great overview of how the rapidly changing landscape works. Very much appreciate your clear reviews and category summaries. Have you tested the Starkey Edge AI HAs that came out about a month ago? If not (they’re really new), do you have plans to do so? I’m very lucky that I have insurance, so I have the surprising luxury of trialing 2-3 different premium tier Rx HAs over 60 days for a total of $1k out of pocket.

I have not tried the new Edge AI yet. I did spend time in Genesis AI and I thought they were solid. What has been your favorite brand so far from the trials?

I purchased the Beyond units about a month ago and ended up returning them last week. While they worked pretty well, the behind the ear setup interfered with my glasses. I believe the in the canal style would work better for me. i think the Sony's would be a good candidate but I'll have to wait awhile as I can't afford them right now. Thanks for the informative video.

Thanks for the notes! I agree that Sony could be a good pick when you are ready. Shoot us a note when you decide to purchase and we will see if we have any discount codes we can pass along. Appreciate you watching!

I'm having many issues with my silks. I have had 2 lefts and now a right aid just quit working in just over a year. One left aid worked over 8 months and about a year on the right. Maybe just my luck.

Sounds frustrating. Do you have Silk IX or one of the older models?
@richardgriffard54154 күн бұрын
I only use a left Signia Charge & Go hearing aid. In the first year 2 of them quit working before I got a good one.

Thanks for sharing! Glad it worked out in the end but that sounds frustrating. How has the sound been?
@richardgriffard54154 күн бұрын
@@HearSoundly The sound is good and I hardly know it is there; I ware it religiously. Until I found an Audiologist that did Real Ear Measurements to set it up properly, it was near useless.

I tried the Jabra Enhanced Pro 2 yrs ago and they were inferior for wind noise and natural sound. However, what made me return them was how terrible the bluetooth sound was. I tried them with several phone calls and they were awful. This was true for both myself, but also for the caller. The sound quality was terrible for me, background sounds were awkwardly amplified and sounded distorted. With each call I had to turn off bluetooth and use the phone directly. The Oticon Reals that replaced the Jabra Pros, are superior in all categories which means they stay in my ears all day long, whether I am answering calls or streaming podcasts. The Oticons are also markedly better for me in restaurants. I can focus on the speaker and follow converstations. This was not possible with the Jabras.
