Best Hell-Viable Low Budget Builds - Diablo 2 Resurrected

One of the things I've noticed in most D2 content being made in preparation for D2R will be very light on the early-game normal build guides; instead focusing on what you need at the end. Case in point here, windy druid is shown as being the most hell-viable build yet the link to your windy build then showcases enigma armor and great things to target, but misses how you build towards that. It's solid info but I think fails to completely bridge the gap.

it is like for EVERY build guide. they are usually showing ridiculous gear. but none of the guides mention other viable or good options. you see so often ZOD runes being used in these guides. i played diablo lod from 2001 to 2012 (until d3 came out). i never saw one legit dropping. it is so unfortunate that literly no one teaches people with no knowledge about the game what other or REAL budget options are out there.

I was aware of this before I uploaded the video. I think the end game videos will give some tips and give a guidance to skills stats to get the player started. Xtimus it's not just that man. I'm trying to stick with you but. I'm just going to pull out of this sub. Because you know damn well that before you get to those "viable lightning builds" that newer players in this genre need to take on the path that either deals fire, cold, poison or whatever is available for that class as a cheapest, low budget possible option before they settle into the end game lightning skills and gear. That's for both Single (offline) and Multiplayer (Closed Battlenet).

I’m just saying that they are still very powerful and I’m sure there’s players out there that would take a sacrifice to play a build or class that they want to personally play. It's decent but the kill speed is low, I think you'd have to rely on Corpse Explosion somewhat and you will most definitely need an A2 Mercenary using Insight.

Bone necro is incredibly cheap and effective. You can get their best weapon by nm and you can shop a great base in normal act2

Decrepify and clay golem for hard stuff I’m the beginning then bone prison a little later makes it much easier. Just have to have a bit of patience until things get going. Llama has a good little necro guide that is really m point…. And is an approach that many don’t think about.

I think hammerdin is terrible in hell with budget gear... hammers are so hard to hit enemies in tight areas. You need teleport to do act 2 because of the maggot lair and other tight areas.

1:50 dead wrong. Trap assasin deals lightning damage and corpse explosion traps that deal I think physical damage. Also she has the small fire bombs that synch with traps, and those are fire damage. Small but good enough for one or 2 lightning immunes that you encounter. You can't compare this to the sorc that has zero options. The variety of assasin is comparable to druid which also runs into physical immunes.

There’s plenty of cheap pally builds other than hammers that is viable in hell. At least until you find a jah and ber rune for enigma. Zealot is arguably the best melee build in the game. Smiter is kinda viable without exile. I thought vengeance was fun, but after nightmare it’s not that viable lol

but smiter has issues on hell without some gear. zealot has no problems or atleast almost no problems. no matter which variant you play. the only "bad" spot would be act 2 getting the staff from the worms. you can focus on fanatism, holy freeze or holy shock. all 3 are viable and have less problems than a frenzy barb untwinked.

I thought about mentioning Zealer. Personally I don't think its good as a budget build compared to the other classes on this list. Since a Frenzy Barbarian can get lots of buffs. Still a good build though and you can still play it early on.

Nice liste But honestly I prefer play nova necro than summoner High dmgs, no immune (or you can remove it) And full trag set you can clean all areas easy. Full trag set is very easy to get, only the shield will be problematic for very early ladder With summoner it is very hard to kill bosses like diablo or baal

Early won't change much tbh bosses do give a lot of xp so there's that but late game it's a massive detriment to magic finding as they are the main sources of good drops so less of them = less loot than literally every other class you could almost think of it as a reverse item find from barbarian.

A hammerdin could beat the game naked (literally). The necromancer is still a really really good choice I just think the other builds that are above the necromancer on the list are better choice overall. It’s just a really difficult decision to make maybe I should’ve put the necromancer higher but it’s just my personal opinion. Try adding an attack skill like Bone Spear or Poison Nova that you can cycle into your rotation for a more proactive approach, at least until the first enemy falls and you can explode their corpse, clearing the area. The skeletons and the golem aren't meant to deal damage, but instead be a living shield. It can be quite the fun build, especially once you are able to acquire Enigma. But even without high end gear, its still viable and fun. Plus, it is fun to feel in command of an army.

It did get more fun later in the game, but I remember a whole lot of spamming of curses and CE's. It was a very imprecise play style.

Summoning nec requires more skill? It is the very easiest build to play in the entire game. Summon, replace skellies that die, pick up drops. Occasionally you have to curse a monster and explode some corpses.

Literally every character you can play is viable in hell. The game is LITERALLY designed so that you start playing, you level up, you make your way through, you literally kill EVERYTHING, and by the time you get to hell, you should be good to go. The ONLY people struggling are people who rush through the game. Like Llama.... literally puts all his points into vitality instead of dex for melee character and wonders why he can't hit anything. All because his play-style is to skip everything and do only the most important quests as well as only killing elite mobs. By the time he leaves act 1 he is literally under-leveled. And if you kill everything AND grind levels, you would be even higher level before act 2. I usually end up around level 16 by the time I leave act 1. Llama leaves around level 8-10.... all because of rushing. Sure, when D2R hits, he's going to rush again, and kill each act boss "first" or try to, by rushing. First doesn't mean anything if you skip all the content the game has to offer.... But, all characters can survive in hell, literally all of them. Builds don't exist. Why? because builds only work when you can twink your character with gear. When its your first playthrough, you play the game the way it was meant to be played, and use the items you find, not saving up from other characters to make builds. So no, there is no such thing as "hell viable low budget builds" because all can be played through hell no issue.

I wouldn't really call builds that need conviction aura to do anything as "viable". Once you hit hell with a trap, zon or sorc using lightning you're basically avoiding more than half of the monsters you face. I wouldn't really call a build that has to run away from most things as viable. That's called just barely getting by.

That is Diablo 2 for you . Hammderin does everything best but every class has obstacles. Most of the time people make certain builds like the trapper or a blizz sorc and they farm certain areas and do it well. It’s efficient, low budget and can be profitable. ESPECIALLY in hardcore you will not see many classes being “viable” for the entire game.
