So how DEEP does this game go? Are there runes, SUPER rare armor (like the D2 King set) and NG+ to run through the difficulties to get better builds?

Hello Xtimus, I've seen this video and I didn't find information about skeleton's resistance. Is isn't it important ? I've had some dying cause of elemental damage here and there (mostly Act 5).

I never cared much for the ability to allocate my stats being missing, it was always about them getting rid of rune words, dumbing down of skills and loot system for me. As for why I didn't care much for the lack of stat allocation? It's because most of us that stuck with, and still play D2, min max. Now I know not everyone does this, but the majority of us do. Stats didn't matter much in the end when everyone just kept using the same spread. It was always get enough STR and DEX to wear your gear, then dump the rest into life, with the exception of PLD for example, then enough dex to max your block. Energy is good for leveling, but that's it, and when you get the right gear for your build you basically respec so you can put those points back into life. Otherwise it's chug mana pots, insight, use affixes that have mana leech or + mana to kill. This is why I didn't care about stat allocating being missing. Now them completely removing rune words from gear, dumbing down skills and the garbage loot system that didn't feel rewarding, that's a different story. I hated D3 too at first, but I learned to enjoy it only when I was able to stop comparing it to D1 and D2. It's fun in it's own right, but I treat it as a spin-off. D1/D2 still my favorite though. D4 was pushed in the right direction but it's still lacking a lot of things that made D2 great, it's basically just a better D3 really. It's still fun, just not as to me.

So Actually Diablo Clone is a really Peace of Pie?? 😄🥧 .. if Lvl. 75 ?? 20 holy shield, 20 Fanaticism, 20smite!? .. The REAL Struggle is To Put Rejuvs back in Belt mid Battle, instead of Retreat to Town and Restock In Peace, & TP should been cast down the way to Shenk so Have Room so Diablo Clone Won't Instant Shock while Re Enter to Frigid Highlands 😄😄 .. I Need To Test This.. Problem is To Stay Lvl. 5 still, Even If I Let Merc Do All The Killing.. or Ok only Kill Bosses! As I Said .. I am Going To Try This Out! 😁😁.. Please Do Ancients !! Them are THE Real Problem 😭😭

Its a solid build. Miss your content. I love melee builds, they are definitely the player's g spot for enjoymemt in d2. I've done a wide variety of builds. My latest was a holy fire paladin ( no budget) 2x phoenix, flickering flame, coh or nigma, infinity merc, fire sunder. Gores. Highlords. Made my phoenix weapon in a cryptic sword. Has been absolutely baller and very powerful and durable. Shout out to you, love your content

It seems like if North had made it, it would have been a true D3, but based on the raw pictures it wouldn't seem like it. The decision to use 3d with the wow engine is the first mistake. Of course it was a very early stage situation. Making D3 a mmo like wow, wouldn't have been nice either. Then you would have ended up with the wow engine and the wow mmo...that would have been Bad. Combine that with the space idea.... eehh yea The fact that the story and cgi was a South thing is also very important to remeber. The end result of D3/D4 makes sense, and was mainly a technical limitation why D1/D2 wasnt like them combine with the era of games produced at that time. D4s fast pace and semi ugli/semi nice looking graphics was only half way what the old fans wanted or demanded, but that was kind of unavoidable unless it didnt go more towards the Fromsoft route with harder difficulty rather than long labyrinth dungeon crawls or gigantic mob hoards

asmongold largely contradicted his take here by hopping on the "D4 bad" train when it became fashionable a few months later. dude doesn't know much about the franchise tbh - he's just a famous casual who feels entitled to act as an authority because of his following. nothing against him personally but he heavily over-plays his hand when it comes to his knowledge of the diablo series - especially d2 last point - asmongold takes are often more about his core understanding that negative content performs better than positive content. guy is happy to go 100% against something even if it doesn't make sense because his income depends on his interaction metrics. ty for reading my manifesto lol! glhf <3

I still haven’t finished Diablo 4… started getting bored of. It… feels a lot like world of Warcraft.. and lots of micro transactions.. I’ve also forgot how to play my character but there’s no where to train because everything in the world is the same level. Diablo1 and 2 are still the best for me.

New images of the canceled DIII have resurfaced in the art station profile of Oscar Cuesta. They look so much better in art direction... There is something so close with the atmosphere of the originals series, something that neither 3 of 4 from the current Blizzard accomplish.

0:45 Path of Exile is so much better than Diablo III or Diablo 4 if blizzard went the same direction as Path of Exile Diablo 3 would have been amazing and Diablo 4 would have been even better Path of Exile is literally Diablo 3 made by people who actually have love for the series people that actually put thousands of hours into the game developing it and helping create is one thing but playing it non-stop for hours and years are two different things

The modern ARPG recipe is at odds of a simple, understandable skill tree. Basically, modern ARPGs do two things: 1.) Create an extraordinarily complex system (skills, gear, and whatever else). Now, you might think, "Wait, wouldn't that alienate all of the gamers who can't figure all that mumbo jumbo out?" Yes, it usually would. So what they do to fix that is 2.) Tune the game to where there are dozens or hundreds of "difficulty" modes. Everyone just plays how far they can. A casual gamer just likes to see they made an attempt to make a good build, perhaps gaining 15 more difficulty levels! (This aspect is similar to Rifts in D3 where you had 100+ difficulty modes). And then... you have the gamer who likes to conquer all of the challenges -- reaching the highest "difficulty modes." And here is the sad thing. Despite not being able to solve the puzzle the game presents, they STILL love the massive complexity. What ends up happening is they watch streamers of people who have played 1000s of hours of the game. They read guides from those same people. They, more or less, just plug in the solution. And viola, they "beat" the game by doing all of the challenges! So what does this all mean? It means their dopamine goes off. Wow, what an accomplishment! They surmounted that MENSA IQ challenge presented by the game, getting further than most. Just don't tell them that they did nothing other than buy an intense puzzle game, load up a guide, and plug the solution into the game interface while barely understanding any of it. #understandableGaming please. For the love of God, give me an ARPG where I can reason about what my gear is actually doing. One where I can conquer the biggest challenges (perhaps reading some info guides and seeing some builds... but nonetheless, I can still make gear choices as I receive my random mix of items, my options). Seriously, the only way to know you are playing well in D4 is to farm tirelessly for 500 hours until you get each piece of gear as exactly specified in the guide. There is little thinking. It's all just guessing. No one can play D4 optimally, and that really is awful. I won't be playing any modern ARPG myself. I'm not going to put in 700 hours of reading, memorizing my options, theorycrafting, and then doing trial and error to test out possible builds among the many possible. And I'm certainly not dense enough to force in a solution from someone who DID do that into my game as it wouldn't give me a sense of accomplishment since I see the veil they are trying to put over my eyes. Modern ARPGs are TERRIBLY designed UNLESS you just want to play casually and see how far in the system you can get. But how about this: Same thing... except make the game difficult enough to where I can actually get as far as possible using my own brain. Sounds weird, right? Well, that's Diablo 2 for you. It did that. It does that. All the other ones -- they are selling people the feeling of solving an immensely complex puzzle when they just looked up the answer.

It must be noted that making a Diablo game on the phone is direct alienation of Diablo fans -- 1, 2, and/or 3. Well, for a person who actually cares about the lore. To make a game that extends the lore but it completely incompatible with a large segment of the player base is to say, "Well, you get to miss out on that lore." Or perhaps it is to say, "This lore is not important! Don't worry about it." Wait, so you're telling me that Blizzard leadership wants either to have core, lifelong fans to miss on important lore or for us to accept the company is now pumping out synthetic, irrelevant lore? I can't tell which one is worse to be honest. I'm going to throw in there that Diablo 3 had shit lore. I didn't buy D4, and I'm never going to buy another Blizzard game again. Yeah, they did a decent job dressing up D2 in D2R. That's the last thing I've purchased, and it will stay that way.

The issue is that making a mobile game hints that the soulless corporation does not care about continuity in the Diablo universe for fans. There exists a ton of hardcore Diablo fans that do not want to play a mobile game. To split the story across PC and mobile is an insult to this type of Diablo fan. Basically, they're saying, "We value money more than the integrity of the story in the game. We ONLY value money. It isn't about making a good game for our fanbase." Any series that starts splitting its universe across multiple ways to game is just telling the world that it has no respect for a serious fan of that gaming universe.

Asmongold really needs to learn to use the principle of charity. Look it up on Wikipedia if you have never heard the term. Anyone who has played D2 and D3 and D4 knew exactly what you meant when you said the RNG is gone. Clear as day - tons and tons of items + personalized loot. Like, what else could you be talking about? Yeah, Asmongold, what you're saying he's saying sounds insane, because it is. With the principle of charity, you then think about it for 3 seconds and come to realize what the person is actually saying. That's not to say a person must agree with that perspective. It is only to say regardless of agreement, the first step is to take a person's statement as what they said rather than straw man it. As for the item frequency situation: Big billion dollar companies 100% are making games that befit center mass. That means stuff like less complex combat, less meaningful customization, items delivered to you, more waypoints for you to bounce between (rather than exploring a world like in Morrowind), more static "power" gain per hour put in (like upgrading glyphs, which you get no matter your luck), sometimes it means a story that doesn't satisfy the smartest among us, and so on. When someone has a peculiar philosophy or taste (as defined as "what do 80% of people think? Do you disagree?"), big companies will generally alienate you. It is what it is. D4 definitely alienates more committed gamers that want to feel a tremendous burst of excitement when they see a Ber. Gamers that want to put in a ton of time to get a sweet build working well. Asmongold should know this and admit there are both sides. However, he gets paid by subs from... you guessed it... the 80% (which tend to pay more than the 20%). Don't get me wrong. I comprehend his point as well, because I'm not a "I only see one side" person. The other side is you can get more builds going faster, and that can be fun. But boy, does it annoy me that Asmongold pretends not to understand the side that differs from the one he outwardly claims to have. Yeah, it is sweet when an item drops once a couple weeks on average. That is something too that someone can enjoy. I just traded a charm I got for 10 jah runes actually. That was awesome, and I'd take that single event over 300 hours of slowly gaining 0.5% power per unit time to jump through the level 100 NM work loop they have you on in D4 (or whatever other "content" they've added in). So please, Asmongold, if I can admit it is cool to make more builds viable faster, you can admit it isn't a PROBLEM that others like to work for their builds to come online. This is an opinion, and it is frankly a 10-k-viewer sellout stance to take center mass OPINION and act like it is divine fact. (And for the record, this isn't all or nothing. I thought the Shako being an item that none of the 500-hour constant D4 streamers had in that one season was just absurdly too rare. It is a choice to make in game design. I admit some might like only 1 out of 800,000 having a drop, but it can't be for a sweet unique item. That D4 Shako was too damn rare and not for RNG reasons (meaning stuff like perfect rolls, which is more for style than actual effectiveness). It's OK if it is RARE to get the base items, but it has to be possible. Uniques SHOULD drop eventually. It is NOT fine for D4 to have made the Shako as rare as an ego perfect roll... to drop at all.) I will say you may be off on the trading thing. Last Epoch did a community poll whether to have trading in their game or not, actually listening to its community. The poll was almost exactly 50-50!! They had to say F it and implement a system where you can do either. Trade if you want, target farm if you want. No ability to target farm then trade though. You can only be one at a time. If you swap, your character can't use items it got from the other system beforehand. So say you trade a sweet weapon. You're on the trader path. Use it all you want. Then, you decide to switch to target farm path. That weapon now cannot be used unless you switch back to the trade path. You'll have to use either a weapon you found neither from trading or from target farming OR a weapon you found from target farming at that point.
