I like how the story starts with stereotypical "alien throws their weight around" HFY plot and then subverts it with feels and humanity not being entirely blameless.

Hey, I wrote this story. I'm glad you liked this story. I do a lot of subverting of expectations 😉 Feel free to check out more of my stuff I only mention it because no one else has, but I also made sure to reflect the accuraxy of the dart with the accuracy of each argument

I think I heard this one a bit ago. Pretty blunt political messaging but I can’t disagree with the alien or the woman
@sleddog30927 ай бұрын
Fair criticism. I wrote the story. I wanted to be Blunt because I'm honestly of the age to be drafted. I'm 29 and I do have fears of a world war. Its also pretty Blunt of me to make the score of the dart game reflect the accuracy of the arguments, but whay can I say, lol.
@bugfeatures7 ай бұрын
to blunt to be interesting. And very unrealistic that any outsider would side with her point, especially in the real world context. Also, there wont be a 3d war, at least not in the next few years. Nobody really plans to stop russia from taking east europe or israel from genociding whole gaza - at least nobody with real political power.

@proudamerican183 lol, also fair. I dont understand the internet much anymore. Also, love the name. In a time where people side with countries they can't even find on a map, it's good to see some national pride. In spite of how my story may seem, it is not anti-American. I am super pro American in this story, but I do aknowladge some faults, some of which can't be equated to American, but humanity as a whole.

Well... You can tell the political leanings of the guy who wrote this story!
@kiritotheabridgedgod41787 ай бұрын
I don't think a story that condemns war has anything to do with political leanings. "War is bad" is a pretty politically neutral statement, as long as you don't live in a country like the US, Russia or China. Even then, the only reason it's not neutral for those countries, is different for each. Russia for obvious reasons, America is due to a large portion of their economy being propped up by their military industrial complex, and China is because in our current technological state, where most of our military technology relies on electronics, a war has some very nice economic insinuations for the world's largest producer of advanced electronics.
@sleddog30927 ай бұрын
I wrote the story. Keep in mind, the opinions of characters don't reflect the opinions of the writer. I do have a political leaning, sure, but it's private. And as far as america needing war? Nah, I'm an American, and no one here wants to se d people to other countries to die. It's the government that wa ts that, not citizens, which I would say means it isn't a political thing. Both sides hate war generically. Either way, I hope you enjoyed. I put a lot of time into my stories so I'm glad to see people enjoying them.
@kiritotheabridgedgod41787 ай бұрын
@@sleddog3092 I'd argue that a government wanting something is inherently political, just not in a way that the general population can engage with.
@sleddog30927 ай бұрын
@kiritotheabridgedgod4178 right, but it isn't a party issue. It's a corruption issue, no matter who is in charge, So I wouldn't include america in that lineup. As far as the people on the ground go, it's all disgusting. Hopefully that'll change soon, but again, I try to stay out of politics, especially in moment sections. I just had to defend my country, lol
@kiritotheabridgedgod41787 ай бұрын
@@sleddog3092 Even if you ignore the politics, America is still on the list. A decent chunk of your economy comes from your military industrial complex, and America is the only country in the world who has stated, and proven, that they will and are willing, to use nuclear weapons in a first strike capacity.
