to do a proper system which means, clean wiring setup, using OFC copper, sound dampening everything, battery/alternator upgrade, good speakers and amps, and just having a clean install, yes it can cost up to 10k...almost all my builds "that i didn't install myself" have been around 8-13k...there is a big difference between someone that says they can do the same setup for 2k vs 8k....when something goes wrong and you have to figure out what the problem is, you will see why 2k was only 2k for the install lol

For 5k on a corvette is a deal, lot of people wouldn’t want to mess because of the lack of room or some will overcharge you.

I just picked up a 2010 lt1. Someone gave me a Neil diamond cd. I literally played sweet Caroline yesterday cause it was the only cd I had out of boxes. Hahaha awesome. Haha

So I’ve had two different sub setups in my C6. I have hertz Mille legend 3ways in the front and hertz Mille pro components in the rear. I originally had 2 12” shallow mount sundown audio subs. Now everything is tuned via hertz DSP. The subs sound great and hit very good with edm music but for hip hop, they don’t have that boom and I’m a big bass head. I got rid of the shallowmounts and went with the kicker dual 12 box for now. I will upgrade the subs to the Q series with a bigger amp eventually but for now, I am getting that deeper bass. Next project is to add another set of Mille legend tweets to the front, better subs, second battery and maybe another set of tweets in the rear. I play my stuff loud lol

Clean set up, do you know the brand of the dashboard install kit they used it doesn't seem to have any funny gaps that I've seen on other C6 installs. Let me know if you can... Thanks.

You have a nice quality system but I'm surprised that you said they tuned it by ear. The "real" way to tune a "sound quality system" is to use an RTA. Best of luck with your system.

Sub install is trash, dude it’s just a basic ass box and is it ported, no way is that large enough box for ported. Stereo is clean and good skipped through but box looks like hack job just placed there.
