I find it amusing how Jordan fans try to make his time with the Wizards look good. Compared to Lebron's longevity, Jordan's is a joke. He looked good against trash teams and then didn't make the playoffs. He wasn't a superstar after he moved on. That just goes to show that Jordan had a super team. Lebron, on the other hand, won rings with three different teams. And his opponents were KD, Steph, Jokic, Giannis and now even Wemby. As I said, I think Lebron is the Goat and MJ can be the second choice. For me, Lebron has long since proven why he is the Goat. But as I said, you will never be able to convince long-standing Jordan fans.

I'm 41 years old now. I remember I got to see MJ at the wizzards against Charlotte and he dropped 51 points with 55% shooting at almost 40 years old playing all 82 games on one knee!! Come on, nobody will be able to replace that

People forget how good he was in Washington before the knee problems. His FG% was low, but that's to be expected coming off a 3 year retirement and immediately being expected to be the #1 option on the team

Before Jordan blew out his knee in 2002, he had led the Wizards to a 26-21 record after starting out 2-9. In those 47 games, Jordan averaged 25 ppg, 6 rpg, 5 apg, and 1.5 spg. In the last 10 games leading up to his injury, they went 7-3, with 6 of those games against playoff teams, and the Wizards were ranked 5th in the Eastern Conference. They were one of the top defensive teams, and Jordan, in the last 10 games, was averaging 29.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.2 steals with a 47.2% field goal percentage. I don't think the Wizards would've won the Eastern Conference, they were showing improvement especially versus the previous season. They had the potential to become a strong team. Unfortunately, Jordan's teammate collided hard with his knee, and Jordan was wasn't the same after.

People don't remember but MJ retired at 35 and came back at 38 (almost 39) with a noticeable downgrade on athleticism. Even with that being said, in his first season he was on fire the first half of the year. Averaging over 25 PPG in a league that only averaged around 80s/90s in total PPG. BUT unfortunately he bumped knees and inured himself. I forget the exact diagnosis but he was never the same after that because he was always in pain. He had to go on minutes restriction for the next season and a half. He tried to fix his knee over the summer but it didn't help. If he hadn't injured himself his number would have only improved. GOAT
