I have done MD ANAESTHESIA from DY Patil. Very expensive. All the super specialities available except transplant anaesthesia. If u have money u can go for it.

Did MD Anaesthesia from JJ Total 4 hospitals, JJ + Cama +GT+ St George Considering Govt Setup Good Exposure to Patients All OTs have good workstation, USG. Ample Superspeciality exposure. NORA exposure Good Hands On experience from 1st year Inadequate Hostel Facitlites, Reading Room, Library under construction since past 4 years. Dept is not intrested in any academics or confrences Very Less faculty Poor Academics. Toxicity is ok Poor administration Stipend not on time you have to wait for 2 to 3 months for one stipend to be credited.

I was so sure anesthesia is the way to go.(my other options being ophthal, psychiatry, ENT). Now that counseling is near, I ve started doubting myself, iam not sure if I would be able to manage the emergencies and risks throughout my life. Will it get any easier sir? Iam seeing myself at UAE in the future which is why I don't want to take psychiatry even though I like the subject, but there's going to be a language barrier. I know it's my call to make. But can you please give an insight regarding the life of anesthetist in terms of work life. Thank you.
