Lone Pine is at the base of Mt. Whitney, the highest mountain peak in California. Very quaint and you can see the old Western movie studio settings where you can tour and experience where John Wayne, Roy Rogers and other Western actors and movies appeared.

PS, My sister and I flew from Charlotte to San Diego on 12/13 and at one point could clearly see Vegas lit up very brightly. Even from the distance we were flying we could see the sphere. AWESOME !
