I was going to pay someone to do mine on my 1984 ,45 foot mobile home 350 dollars. I hate heights and worried a little about going through the roof. Im 64 5'10 173 and still pumping iron and after i picked up the material i decided to go on the roof and check it out. I just saved myself 350 dollars and im doing it myself. I couldn't believe how you just pay attention a little bit and I'll be staying right on the peak and doing the drop edges from a ladder after im done on top. Plus i know that it was done right with satisfaction. The material i got was the same stuff as in your video but number 246.

Would you put this over shingles? I’m thinking of doing that. I’ve got a Doublewide and the shingles are shot. Trying to get 5-10 more years out of it. I think they make a black. I saw another channel fella did his shingles white and it didn’t look all that bad and reflected the heat.

I'm putting this on my grandmothers roof. The roof is in pretty bad shape, It has a spot or 2 where water pools, could I just put it a little thicker in that area? We just need a bandaid

Yes, you can put it a little bit thicker in them areas. I don’t necessarily recommend putting it too thick all at one time it would be better in coats.

How many 5 gallon buckets would it take to cover a 14' x 65' mobile home? And would Lanco Seal Acrylic Elastomeric be the proper sealant for the standard (non metal) roof? TIA. Nice work. Wish there were fellows like you around here.

A little bit of bleach, some water and soap and pressure washer if needed but be careful walking up on your Mobile Home Roof you’ll make it worse

What did you do as far as cleaning the roof before coating? Wondering if i need to power wash it first or if i could wire brush and then sweep/blow it off.
@Drewsroofingandhomerepair18 күн бұрын
No need I don’t use a power washer. I use bleach soap and water mixture. I spray it on and then you can rinse it off with a water hose and then make sure there’s no leaves or debris on the roof and then it after it’s dry.

Amen Sir! Thanks for the additional knowledge on how to do this! ❤️🫂🙏 I'm getting ready to hopefully Power Wash my own 1968 Trailer/Roof, after fixing some well issues first, and get it fully sealed to breathe new life back into it after years of sitting neglected! I'm planning on filming the process as well, and chronicling the journey of transformation...both of the property/trailer and of Me as well for trying to do this as a Channel and overall business one day with a full Network of different Channels. Thanks for being great educators and inspiration! ❤️🫂🙏👏

I say before you start doing anything, you should create your KZbin channel and share the process as you go. It would be very good for other KZbinrs to get to see that thank you for your comment. Good luck with your project. I would love to see the videos of it, so I hope you do make a video channel. Who knows maybe you’ll become a KZbin partner and make money from it I am.

@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair thanks Sir!! ❤️🫂🙏🤞 Already got the Channel made, website, LLC status, and purchased all the gear afterwards to make it all tax deductible! 😁❤️🤘💰🎉 I've already been capturing Drone footage, and POV B-Roll shots with a GoPro 11 and an Insta360 X3 thankfully. Same with getting my 1977 Dodge B200 Van going after sitting here for years in tall grass, going to additionally film me cleaning it up and repainting it with a custom Galaxy look and my Channel/Website info and QR Codes. To triple down on Content, mobile advertising, and having a vehicle to haul the rest of the remodeling supplies plus whatever popup Events I'll do with my Maker skills. Just trying to compile enough overall footage to cut into a trio of opening videos for the Channel. Been working on what I want to say in my Intro/Mission Statement video too, and where here on the property to shoot it...especially since I got Green Screens to otherwise make shots look anywhere I want. It's been years in the planning, research, and this past year actively getting everything rounded up...plus trying to master all the different Tech haha, I was terrified to fly my Mini 3 Pro drone for months haha, it cost more than my first 3 cars combined 🤣😂🤷🤣

@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Жыл бұрын
To be honest with you, I recommend putting a light coat on first so pressure wash or clean the roof and then put a light coat of Cool Seal first using about 3 gallons and then do you wanna wait for that to dry and put a thicker coat on it so you might have a couple gallons left over but I definitely recommend using two buckets. I went to Lowe’s and I bought the stuff for $89 a bucket that’s a steel normally it’s close to 150 so maybe you can find a deal or a cell somewhere for Cool Seal maybe even in the bottom of my video you might see a place you can buy it online and have it shipped to you.

Well to start with make sure you do what I said in the video, and I always step on the rafters never step in between the rafters. If you do that, then you can walk on any roof. You just can’t walk anywhere. You have to be very careful where you put your feet on a mobile home or he will cause damage so watch my video and I am going to be doing another one with a GoPro probably tonight or tomorrow I will be explaining where to put your feet a little better

I have another channel called Scrapping With Grandpa and this gentleman works at a golf cart place where they give me their golf cart motors batteries copper cables so it’s one of my honey holes from my other channel Scrapping With Grandpa so I did give him a break but only a couple hundred bucks at the most.
