youre a joke, you claim to be honest about scopes, yet you have definitely been sponsored and bribed by the bigger brands to promote their rip-off scopes...for example the comments you made about UTG Leapers is the biggest pile of blind fat bastard bullshit ive ever heard....Tried and tested them scopes and they are extremely accurate, crisp image, clear reticle, easy to use, robust, superb return on zero, and all for UNDER $200. So be honest and stop saying that you are impartial and honest
@melindaleon5907 Жыл бұрын
Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. Centered vertically true to a plumb line with the crosshairs which is always a plus!It's a great kzbin.infoUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!

Home run video again Joe. Meopta is a great scope company. I've got a Meostar 2.5-15×56 and the glass is incredible. It's an older scope, but I'll put that scope glass up against scopes that are well over 2k. The scope is on a 7mm weatherby mag, and I dont know why I don't use that gun more.

There a few there that I could use on this list. Why only a couple, I have no need for a hunting scope with over a 40mm objective. In over 40 years of big game hunting I can not remember needing more. Even with a 1980’s Weaver 3x9 40mm at night I shot a beaver in a corn field with out the aid of a light. When I went to retrieve it out of the corn field I tripped on it as it was so dam dark.

I have Meopta Optika6 2.5-15x44 without the cool light changing reticle and the glass is phenomenal. Also have a Optika6 4.6-27x50 for a target /hunting gun. Almost chose the $500 street price 3-9x40 from Meopta for my hunting guns as they were so lightweight. My Arken SH-4 Gen 2 6-24x50 is on my 22-250 varmint gun.

Let's face it, none of these hold up to a $40 Pinty 😂 /sarcasm ... just kidding. Great video as always, and great time of year to be deploying this video Joe. Edit: I'm a little surprised you didn't find any category/price point for a Bushnell or Steiner to place here considering they both have different spreads in the hunting category for different budgets. Although with some knowledge I have gained one way or another you still have one heck of a good list here. Never heard of the Leica brand, but at $1500 there's a LOT of good choices in the category these days so that's a narrow category to be subjective with. One thing about that Vortex, not a knock, but an observation: There's a lot of scopes in that category that use the same components from the same factories in China (Discovery Optics comes to mind). Some of them are built okay, but I had to give up on them. Cheers, PT

...what are you finding with scope delivery times? I heard all the glass is now made in one plant in China and lots of backordered scopes. I ordered a Leupold back in March from Opticsplanet and I'm still waiting on it. They cut me a really good deal on it but they keep pushing the expected delivery time back. Not sure if this is because my deal was too good or if there really is a supply chain issue? I keep checking on the scope to see avail of ordering another one at full price but it shows as backordered, so maybe it really is backordered? Your thoughts?
@ronws20073 жыл бұрын
Matt at CRS Firearms channel reported having a long wait time with Optics Planet but I never had a long wait time. However, the last half a dozen optics I bought, I got through Amazon. So, local or even regional fulfillment centers got it to me quicker. It does help to remember that a number of these scopes, including competing contenders of Vortex, Arken, and some of these others, are getting glass and some assembly in Asia, specifically China, Japan, and the Phillipines. Bigger companies, like Vortex, have their own factory and facilities in Barneveld, Wisconsin. Smaller companies may not have that and so have a lower price point and depend on the QC of the outsourced companies they are using. I, being a Vortex fan boy, also have the advantage of a local gun store having a major display and being a major distributor of Vortex. However, you can always check other online retailers, including Amazon and eBay.

There's only a few companies in the world now that make decent scope glass. Two of them are in China, and unfortunately Japan is out of the scope glass game as far as manufacturing/sourcing. I think you should have gotten your scope by now from OpticsPlanet. I've had good luck with them, but I've also seen many cases of people getting brushed off as well. I would contact their customer service and ask them to make the situation whole for you one way or another as you should have had your scope by now.

Definitely a supply chain issue. I just read (Yahoo news) where there are over 60 container ships sitting off the port of Long Beach CA. The warehouses are full as well in the CA ports. The issue is getting the merchandise trucked out of port. It is affecting everything coming out of China. Your scope is likely in one of those ships.

@CyclopsJoeVideos3 жыл бұрын
Jim I would pick the one with the 40 mm tube The main reason being not just the savings and weight but with the smaller objective you're also going to have a deeper field of view so when you throw it up basically everything's going to be in focus with the 50 mm sometimes you have to tweak it because it has a larger objective to get the field of view right where you want it It's just not as deep it's just the way optics work out. I want both of those scopes and the 40 has ever been as bright as the 50
