Keep in mind that during this video your tree tether is level with your forehead. I use to run mine high like that and realized that was causing discomfort in my hips and behind my legs. Any saddle will feel and sit differently depending on where you run your tree tether. I have found I like mine better my collarbone or slightly below.

The further away you place the tree tether from yourself, the less hip-pinch you'll experience.

Great vid. Thanks. Folks that are here saddle shopping; stay away from the Wildedge Berserker. I've suffered with it for an entire season and gave it a try again the beginning of this season. Absolutely horrible fit, it's heavy, bad hip pinch and the waist and bottom strap are thick hard and cut into your body with no give. Good luck in your shopping.

Great honest review. I have a Cruzr XC and like it, however, it is not the end all everyone says it is. My season runs from September 9 every year until about January 17. When I hunt I hunt 5 to 6 hours per sit. I cannot do that in my saddle. I still would rather have my Lone Wolf hand climber or my Lone Wolf alpha hang on. I don’t know if you have heard of the JX3 Hybrid saddle. It is the only saddle you can truly sit all day in complete comfort.

I haven't heard of the JX3, I took a look at it. It is interesting. Would be something I would probably want to try before buying. Its tough doing all day sits in a saddle. I can in my lone wolf climber but can't with the saddle. Definitely some limitations. No one method is best at everything.

@@SufferingOutdoors I can assure you that you can do an all day sit in a JX3 Hybrid. I have two of them. If you buy the top stick he sells it also gives you all the platform you need to get around the tree. It’s actually a really good system. It’s the only saddle I will use from here on out when I need one.

From a former tree climber, you’ll find more comfort if you can get your main line into a crotch, as far above you as possible, rather than tied out on the main trunk as if you’re preparing to top the tree out. Higher mainline, as if you were setting up to prune a large tree (main in the highest crotch you can get it) then you’ll find any saddle much more comfortable, easier to sit down into, and won’t ride up your back.

Hello. I’ve been watching your videos and I’m fairly confident we are hunting the same turf. With that said, looking for a set up that I can go from hanging in tree mode to doing a drive. Obviously not conducive with a tree stand on your back and mountain laurel!Do you see this as possible with a saddle setup? Curious on overall weight of the complete saddle setup including sticks and platform. Thanks for the video

Neat! We have some great ground to hunt. If I knew I was going to be doing a drive I would either not bring the saddle and sticks, or, just bring one stick and a rope ladder aider. You don’t have to get as high during rifle, just off the ground enough to shoot above the laurel. That would help cut the weight down.

I've sat 5 hours in mine and that's about my limit anyway in any stand. You really need a big but for a saddle to work right lol. Hey what kind of pants are those you are wearing in the video?

Unfortunately I’m lacking in the big butt category lol. They are Under Armour Ridge Runner, any pullover puffer pants that are full zip should work.

Get frustrated with these companies when you spend lots of money and the product and they can’t even send you an instruction Manuel. Not all of us want to sit there and watch some guy talk for 20min before he tells us how to use the saddle. Not knocking this guy as it was a review but these companies can do better.

Cruzr saddles seem to be good but there back pack is garbage it will come apart at the seems and the cruzr family don’t stand behind there products! My backpack is a month old and falling apart thanks mr cruzr for your junk backpack. I’ve had kuiu for 6 years and still perfect
