@@michaelciccone2194 You r welcome, I lived in Iraq for many years, is a country where the mankind invinted the writing, geometry, maths and where the Lord chose Abraham the common patriarch of the Abrahamic religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Pope Francis visited the area where Abraham born and lived. It's a beautiful country with rich history, holy places and beautiful diverse nature. the kindest and most generous people I ever seen are in Iraq but unfortunately they were cursed with wars and conflicts. Iraq these days is safe enough to get visit but believe me u will be in confuse about which area to see, historical or holyes, u will need to do big search before deciding where to go there and don't ever think to travel in summer unless you are going to the north region.

Um look up Islamic expansion to see how many lands were invaded and taken over for like 400 yrs before the first crusade was called at the request of Christians in the East. The most ancient holy places for Christians in the Levant, North Africa, Spain, France, Eastern Europe, and inroads in Italy including the sacking of the Vatican. The trip to Iraq was lovely and I pray for a new and better future. We must strive for truth, and peace.

@@albertchin1050 My worry is that Islam does not seem to have any one big authority like a Pope or council of leaders to tell Muslims that terrorist jihad puts them outside of the faith in a binding way. Even in the early times of the faith some regions of Islam were more moderate and leaders in other areas would level churches, take girls from families, etc. When 100 girls get abducted in Africa I don't hear any out cry from Muslim leaders on the news. To be fair the West makes a huge deal about a terror attack in France but jihadist activities in Africa are barely covered.
