I'm so disappointed that you chose to go to Dubai right now. Especially after making it seem like you were taking the pandemic very seriously. I really respected that and made me like you. Now I can't watch without wondering what else you are being insincere about. I'm very saddened. Can you explain why you felt like it was a good idea?

As a supporter of yours for years, I am so disappointed to see that you travelled during COVID. Nearly 2 million people globally have died, and you think you are allowed to do whatever you want. You could have taken the UK strain to Dubai, and gotten people even sicker with the stronger strain - purely because you didn’t think about anyone other than yourself.
@lucyosullivan12194 жыл бұрын
Similar to other recent comments, I feel pretty annoyed about the Dubai situation and Fleur’s poor handling of it on Instagram. She’s one influencer I’ve long respected for her professionalism and integrity, and her excellent content. I really don’t want to unfollow and unsubscribe. So I’m prepared to wait and give her the benefit of the doubt to see if she’ll provide an explanation and apology. With such a huge following, and in the middle of global pandemic, I think she has a responsibility to do that.

The deception and lies hurt fleur I loved you so much last year i truly felt you were one of the youtubers actually taking this seriously but guess not. It's a kick in the stomach to every nurse and doctor in the UK and to us your subscribers who fell for your lies
@apocryphalic4 жыл бұрын
I echo some of the other comments in expressing my disappointment. To me, it's not a question of your integrity or the fact that you chose to willingly mislead your followers into believing that you were still in the UK and not abroad in Dubai on vacation but the fact that you not only chose but planned a trip while in the midst of a global pandemic. As a doctor working in the COVID wards, this is akin to a slap in the face for me. It's incredibly upsetting that you chose to put countless number of people at risk (from the flight staff, to the hotel staff, to those staying in the same hotel, to people in Dubai, customers at the restaurant you might be dining in, etc) so you could go on vacation. Hell, I understand the aspect of wanting to leave and I've thought of taking a trip countless times myself and seeing as I've already been vaccinated, I could do so but the point isn't to just protect myself from COVID but others as well. I'm not trying to make you feel bad with this comment, I'm just stating the facts. I hope people who might read this comment realize that this is exactly why the entire world is undergoing second and third and fourth waves. People can't and won't stop being selfish. As an added note: I hope you and your family, and those that may come in contact with you, stay safe and healthy and covid free.

Umm. I LIVE for travel and did it really often before covid, but haven't travelled for 10 months now and honestly, there wouldn't be ANY excuse I could give myself to do it in this situation. The restrictions were much looser over the summer and i didn't even consider it once! So disappointing, so selfish and so entitled. Yes, I COULD do it too, but i am a grownup and understand that doesen't make it right. We (the whole world) are in it together for this period, and the fact that there are grownups who break the rules even though "technically by law they are allowed" blows my mind. Don't you have a mind or ANY vision of the situation across the world beyond yourself? 🤯🤯 And then to lie about it... I mean, doesn't that already clearly show that you knew right away what you did was wrong... Or why else hide and lie about it all. Makes the apology seem forced rather than sincere as well..

The fact that we are in the midst of a global pandemic that is at its peak in the UK, I am both shocked and disgusted to find out that you decided to travel during this time frame. Some people can be carrying COVID with absolutely no symptoms, but can pass it on to people who have sensitive immune systems. I cannot believe you decided to expose your family to any potential harm, but other humans you may have come into contact with because you went on a senseless holiday. People have been made redundant, have lost family and friends, have struggled to an unimaginable extent, but you should count yourself lucky that you were sat at home receiving PR and were able to work and earn way more than staff on the frontline. You needed a break? What about the less fortunate or the people who are trying to save lives and help combat the virus. Your instagram apology was a slap in the face to those who have supported you throughout your journey. An instagram apology isn't enough, DO BETTER. Grow up, Fleur. Stop being so senseless.

It actually is really disappointing. Regardless of what tier people are in, the advice to avoid unnecessary travel has remained the same. Covid has never disappeared during all of this. All you have to do is look at the news and see it’s not going anywhere. The excuse you saw others doing it, isn’t frankly good enough. Everyone who has traveled like this has had a backlash, so it was obvious that people wouldn’t be thrilled. This is the epitome of privilege, and it’s so disappointing to see. It’s a slap in the face to the healthcare workers and all those who have lost a loved one due to COVID. I'm disappointed you edited an old post to try and slip this under the radar. I have a friend that lost both her parents to COVID. So disrespectful.

I’m just so disappointed in your decision to travel for fun during a pandemic. Several of my family members are front line workers who fear for their health and safety when going to work. I really believed you were taking this pandemic seriously but that was clearly a lie. While you don’t owe anyone an explanation, you are a citizen of the world and as such we all have an obligation to do our part. Here’s hoping you didn’t bringing new variant to an innocent worker who has to go out during the pandemic in order to support themselves.

You know what it’s more the sneakiness of it that’s disappointing and how you spoke about travel previously and deem it unthinkable at such a time (even canceling domestic travel)...if you were someone who owned up to traveling during the pandemic (Amelia Liana), it would have been okay, coz at least they are open and honest about it and never kept subscribers thinking they were doing otherwise. By keeping it under wraps, posting as if you were just at home and saying stuff like you do in your vlogs is a massive blow to those that follow you. Thanks for the 10 years, and now unfollowing.
@Galison94 жыл бұрын
Followed you on various platforms for 10 years now and I’m really disappointed with the shadiness here. Not so much the travel but much more the hiding it, bordering on lying about it, and then being really shady with your apology. It’s a complete coincidence I even saw it as you knew that editing an old post would mean it wouldn’t come up on mine or anyone else’s insta feed. And putting it in your stories would disappear in 24 hours. When you came back to insta today not with the open apology but with a peloton post I was disappointed even more that you weren’t taking steps to regain your integrity and relationship with your followers. I messaged you to tell you this and now you’ve blocked me. Zero accountability
@emmatabitha80214 жыл бұрын
Sorry but I'm echoing everyone else, I've followed you for 5+ years, I've always loved your content and how genuine and down to earth you are eventhough you have such privilege regarding finance etc. I'm really disappointed how hard you tried to keep your Dubai trip a secret, something you clearly did for a reason. Regardless of tiers, travel was advised against everywhere. We were all told time and time again to stay at home, not travel to Dubai just because "all the other influencers were". A poor excuse.

You have made yourself irrelevant and unrelatable to any right-minded followers. If u can't trust someone to do the right thing when it comes to people's health and lives, how can u trust them to be honest about something as trivial as a mascara. You have negated anything positive that you did such as the NHS Auction and the lockdown vlogs, all of which you did openly and which painted you in a good light. You choose to travel unnecessarily and kept quiet about it because u knew it would paint you in a bad light. More disappointed because I thought you were more sincere and ethical than some other influencers, but you just hid your true colours better. I was going to keep following to see would you give an honest explanation to your followers but I can't be arsed, I have zero interest in you or anything you have to say about anything.

Not much recently... I love the effect but it takes a while to do it and for obvious reasons it hasn’t got much use this year. I still use the coralle straighteners daily though and recently have been using those to curl too - so much easier than regular straighteners as they are cordless!

My husband works at The Body Shop HQ - he is their Cosmetic Scientist so the comment made me chuckle 😁 Also Garnier is owned by L’Oréal who used to own The Body Shop so they may have got the idea for the packaging from them......

Happy New year!!!. Love these videos. I bought the Wild deodorant on your recommendation, and I love it. I bought loads of refills (Brexit 😭 I live in Denmark, and didn't know how things would work out , tax etc.) So I should be smelling good for a long time. I wish you and your family the very best 2021 💗.

I tried the living proof dry shampoo on your recommendation and love it. Like you I didn’t get on with other dry shampoos and they made my scalp super itchy but that stuff is amazing! 💁🏼♀️

So excited to add Miel en mousse to my skincare after you suggested it. I wouldn't normally splurge on it (Lancôme can be quite pricey in the states) but it looks like it lasts forever. Happy New Year Fleur :)
