BEST INSTALL and SOUND VIDEO - VANCE & HINES Short Shots on a Harley Sportster

Here is my Vance and Hines Short Shots exhaust install on a 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster.
I used the vance and hines FP3 fuelpak to tune the bike to the exhaust and high flow air filter.

Just got the install done on my 2018 iron 1200 these F$@%n pipes are loud as hell. The youtube videos don't make them sound as loud as they really are. I'll be getting the quiet baffles over the Winter for sure. The install went great except for the fact that everyone failed to mention that one of the mounting bracket bolts for the rear pipe needs to be inserted before tightening it down. The rear brake master cylinder is in the way so had to remove everything again to get it in place. Other than that no issues at all. Really happy with the Vance and Hines FP3 fuel pack. Fired right up and ran great with the short shots map. Smells a little rich but that's a good thing no burnt pistons from a lean burning stock map. Thanks again for your video makes me laugh every time I watch it.

@@Real_Josh_King i my research they do. I have had crotch rockets, dual sports and cruzers. Most people dont pay attention when they drive. If they can hear you they pay attention more, especially if your in their blind spot. If they cant see you they can hear you. Why do you think emergency vehicles have two sensory systems. Bright lights for visual and loud sirens for auditory senses.

your neighbor is lucky i am not his neighbor. id have a whole crew at 2 am doing burnouts in front of his house. i take pride in how careful I am pulling in late at night with my loud exhausts. I can pull in without waking up my family or neighbors. i specifically go out of my way to pull in at below 1200 rpm. 90% of the time I am able to pull in idling. sometimes a slight blip. I have only had one neighbor complain, that same neighbor had a straight piped c6 corvette and woke up the neighborhood several times with domestic violence calls and police showing up with sirens. he ended up getting kicked out by the landlord who owned that property. my neighbor right next to me, the one who is within feet of my exhaust, has said they dont hear me pulling in when they are asleep. i work late. i arrive 12-2 am every night. if a neighbor wants to complain, i will make their life a living hell.

No, but you should tune the bike after you change the intake and exhaust

​@@rafaelpereira3028 because it changes how much air is being brought in and pushed out, the engine is tuned for the stock setup and won't run as efficiently until the ECU (or whatever its called on a bike) is reflashed to best use the changes.

Had a softail with loud exhaust, just idled through neighborhood at night and no one bitched. After watching this video I am definitely going with these pipes.
