Hey everyone! I have a H-190 and I can say with certainty it’s amazing!! Best solid state integrated I’ve ever heard but what I love about it the most is the quality of life improvements such as basically having it be a one stop shop. Amazing streamer/Dac in one. Amazing remote control too. Only thing I would add is, let’s spend just as much time trying to find new music as we do researching gear! Happy listening.

So I'm gonna get the Zpad3 deal on September 20th, and get a pad for only $100. Sweat deal Samsung! I entered the Samsung link because of the Giveaway. But I was quite surprised. It's actually pretty interesting. Seems that Samsung is leading a Holistic approach to integrate into the everyday things. As a designer, I really appreciate that. It's less about products and more about lifestyle. We are getting closer to a time where organization create an entire experience through their product philosophy. In many ways, this approach is is a glimpse to the future. Where companies create identity, agenda, one that you can have an affinity with. The boarder between customer and manufacturer are getting thinner, and not because you can talk to a guy at the other side, but because they are meeting you in your everyday.

There's so many flattering reviews of Burson Audio DAC's and Amp's that I wish there were any easy way to demo them. The only couple of hifi stores near me are about an hour away, but when it comes to DAC's they only ever have a couple of the big name/mainstream manufacturers units. Looking forward to the giveaways Jay! Thank you man!

I agree with you on the DAC - I have a 2017 J7 and the sound is terrible. I cannot afford a new one, and am saving up for a dongle, but since it does not have a USB C - the thought of having a converter, and a dongle, and the headphone gives me the heebie-jeebies. As far as Samsung event - an iem / earbud giveaway would be great!

Our flatshare needs a new microwave, if Samsung has a good deal, we might go for it. Winning this beautiful amplifier would be the cherry on top :D I might even think about switching my speakers for Magnepan's. It is rather impressive to have those class A/B components to be fitted into such a small case, and yet contains the DAC and pre-amp functions, all these inside a small aluminum case making it a magnificent piece of art. In my opinion, the best feature of this little amp is, the ability to do op-amp rolling, this has provided the convenience to us the user to test and find the appropriate op-amp with the preferable sound characteristic.

I was going to save up for a Hegel H95 for the Hegel sound but this review convinced me to get the Burson Timekeeper 3i. I ordered an open box unit. Hopefully it is already broken in some so I don’t have to spend a long time breaking it in.
@t0nyxgq3 жыл бұрын
Update: When I got the unit yesterday, instead of it being an open box unit, it was a new unit which I paid open box price for. SCORE! Got it all set up and did some A/B comparisons with my Topping D70s + MP-301 combo. The Burson sounded bad and was blown out of the water by the combo, which cost around half the price. It was trebly, congested, with male vocals sounded like it was stuffed in a metal can. TBH, I got a bit nervous about spending all this money to only sound terrible but I let it burn in overnight on a pair of headphones and tested it out again. Today the Burson was much more open sounding. The soundstage has a lot of air and was no longer congested. The treble is more detailed and still a bit more trebly than I like but it's headed in the right direction. I took the pre-out from the Burson and plugged it into the MP-301 and did a faster A/B switch for the DAC/Pre out comparison. The Burson DAC sounded very similar to the Topping D70s to the point where I might be ok with selling the D70s and not miss it. (just bought that a few months back too). Listening to speakers (Elac DBR62) it sounds much better today. Strong, authoritative presentation. It's definitely opening up. I'm going to let it continue burning in on speakers during the day and headphones at night.

For me Hegel is still the king. I heard the h390 with a set of S400s and definitely they can bring these speakers to a new level, especially when compared with class D monoblocks - which are not bad, but cant really compare. Personally I'm looking to try something from PASS Labs or actually go with the power amp that hegel has (the h30). for the samsung event i'd like to see if there is a TV or projector give away. Keep up the great work.
@gerard37973 жыл бұрын
I can really recommend the Kinki B7 mono blocks. I have them with S400, completely transformed the experience. The control in bass also removed the majority of the bass issue I had. Before this I had Hypex 250w class D with also high damping factor, but not even remotely close. The mid range om the B7 is full and nothing liking class D, especially on the S400. Saying this Burson amp is close Hegel H190 is just ridiculous and should be evaluated on more speakers. Watch the video of Sean of ZeroFidelity, who is a much better source. I am planning to use the Holo Spring 3 as dac/preamp.
