Huge fan of Heady Topper. It gets shipped out to Southern California twice a year and I always grab a few cans. One of the all time best. I can't put my finger on exactly what makes it so phenomenal but it's amazing.

I had my first Heady Topper about 3 years ago and it blew me away. Last week I was finally able to find a 4-pack at a local liquor store. Killed the thing in one sitting. Easily one of, if not my favorite beers.

A timeless classic. 20 years going, and every bit as good these days as it was a decade plus ago.

The mystery to me is how can it be so thirst quenching yet forces you to want to drink more.

Really appreciated your reaction to drinking this after years of wanting to try it. It made me appreciate being able to pick it up at my local village market here in Vermont. I pour it into a glass as well.

I love it when people get to have this beer, much imitated, never equaled. I get it on the regular here by Philadelphia, along with Focal BAnger.

Only just seen this review mate 😮 The one beer that has eluded me in my beer drinking years. The Godfather of New England IPA. So kind of the guy who got you it. Great video, greatly jealous 👏

I made a trek from my home down south to Vermont to try this beer. I had heard it was the world’s best IPA. It was very good, but I have several go to IPAs that I think hold their own with HT. Bells 2 Hearted, Ballast Point Sculpin, Wicked Weed Pernicious, Cigar City Jai Alia, Lagunitas Little Sumpin, Elysian Space Dust….but possibly my favorite is locally brewed Wilmington Brewery’s Tropical Lightening.

I’m a big fan of Cigar City and Jai Alai I agree is a top quality ipa. The rest I’ve not tried but would be keen to get hold of at some point. Great list there buddy 🍻

Good beer. I like Focal Banger more. And neither compare to the greatness of Pliny The Elder! IMO. Cheers!

Have you had Boss Tweed by Old nation brewing in Michigan? It’s my favorite. Haven’t had this yet but it’s on the list now.

It's the type you definitely need 2...because you want big gulps from the 1st then savour the 2nd. Love & Hate from Vocation does that to me.

What happened to drinking it from the glass??

Nooooo you’re not supposed to drink it from a glass! John and Jen better not see you do this. 😂

"Little to no bitterness." There's no way, at least in my opinion. This beer is classically been miscategorized for a decade now. It really is it's own type of fruity super dank thing. It bares almost no resemblence to NE IPA other than some medium tropical notes. I find bitterness to be easily medium to medium plus, more towards classic West Coast IPA. And then the crazy thing is the insane dankess (I can see black pepper you call). I go gasoline, Brett, cat pee, fresh plastic.

Hey buddy, thanks for stopping by. I find it fascinating how people’s palates can vary so much. I guess there’s always mitigating circumstances (the fact my beer had traveled some may be a factor) but for me it was a superior example of a New England IPA. Love hearing from other beer fans so it’s great chatting to you. Keep up the good work and cheers 🍻

Theres most definitely bitterness I agree. It's one of the more underrated aspects of the beer imo. It's a complex bitterness you just don't find in other beers. But.... you get Brett? That confuses the hell out of me.

You ruined that beautiful IPA by pouring it into a glass. There is resin at the bottom of the can that doesn’t come out with the beer.

Do you know how many beers there are that you haven't had. So lame calling a widely popular beer the best in the world. Who hasn't had this beer?
