Apple + Anker 10k: Love my Apple battery - I WANT a slow, cooler, charge when having a long usage day. Phone 15 PMx tends to overheat went out and about. I carry the 10k anker w/screen and recharge the Apple in my bag! I’ll use the Apple till dead first thing in the morning, recharge in my bag late morning, then if needed in the late day, pull it out again and use it if I need another boost - usually I don’t on a long usage day, using this method. Great video as always - your style and content delivery is one of the best on the Internet. Keep it up!

I use magsafe everyday, while driving and I haven't carried a wallet since the iPhone 12 came out. Magsafe is a great implementation and because of its convenience I wanted to try magsafe battery packs. After using many of them from all the major brands I can safely say that they ALL get uncomfortably hot no matter what paid reviewers will say. In my experience Anker is one of the worst in this regard. I just tried the Belkin 5k sold directly from Apple and I had to return it the day after i bought it. And i don't even use my iPhone while charging it! The only one that didn't get hot was the Apple Magsafe Battery Pack. It was just a superior product designed specifically for the iPhone by Apple. I hope they will bring it back but for the time being I'm sticking to the old reliable cable. It's cheaper, charges faster and my iPhone stays way cooler.
@bySaverio4 ай бұрын
And they are also so thick. I got big hands but my iPhone 15pm becomes too thick when using even the thinnest of the ones shown in this video. The Apple one was the only one functional imo.

To my knowledge, the Apple battery pack works like an additional battery for your phone, whereas all of the other branded battery packs are essentially chargers. Apple MagSafe is slow, gets quite warm, doesn't hold a charge after months of non-use and won't charge your phone to full. Despite all the challenges and being the most expensive dollar per watt, it's the best overall in terms of portability, size, comfort and functionality. Best used as a range extender which means you would need to know in advance whether you're going on a long journey. Wish more improvements can be done towards efficiency but I think this the limit.
