I find that i really enjoy the Delta aircraft (with countermeasures) in warthunder. They typically have very high deck speed and very good mid-low speed nose authority which allows you to kind of zoom in and out of the furball picking off targets and then when the players have dwindled down to low numbers u can force them to chase you, get them isolated, force overshoots and get 2-3 snapshots before either killing them or zooming away, gaining speed and reseting.

@@ivanvukadin3194 There is no Kfir C.1 The first Kfir variant was JUST called the Kfir (it was shit) To expand on my point: the C designation means Canard, hence why only the Kfirs with built-in canards have it (the Kfir Canard is sometimes wrongly called the C.1 Plus, or just C.1.

The Nesher has no canards... The Kfir Canard (or Kfir Gderot as it is called in Israel, Gderot is fences in Hebrew) is the first variant of a Kfir that has canards. Note that it is not called Kfir C.1 and there is no such thing as Kfir C.1. Following version were named with a "C" + number, starting from the Kfir C.2. The C stands for Canards. The Gderote was one of those planes I was super hyped for, mostly just do to the skins it got. The history about it is also particularly interesting, as it was initially a stopgap solution/modification to the original Kfirs, until the Kfir C.2 became available in 1978 Edit: so, little bit more history about the Kfir The base model was frankly kinda shit. Think of a Kfir with no canards, no dogtooths, no HUD, no Countermeasures, absolute shit turning, and shit AoA. The Israeli pilots complained so hard about it that IAI and Israel's Hafa institute made a bunch of changes: canards, small fences/vortex generators on the nose to increase performance at high angles of attack, and dogtooth leading edges. These modifications were really good, but they were too intensive to be applied to the original Kfir base model. So, while this NEW Kfir (the C.2) was in development, IAI and Hafa came up with smaller-span bolt-on canards and bolt-on vortex generators on the nose, which did improve performance. By 1984, the Gderotes were retired from Israeli service. 12 were passed on to the US Navy (Squadron VF-43 Challengers) and 13 went to the US Marine Corps (VMFT-401 Snipers), where they served until the late 1980s. Also, the Kfir was re-designated as F-21A Lion in US adversarial service

​@@patchouliknowledge4455They chose it as an adversary due to the fact that it was pretty good at mimmicking the older Mig-23 Floggers, in terms of climbrate, acceleration, and top speed. The F-21s (US designation for the stripped-down Kfir C.1/Gderots) were also only being leased to the United States, hence why all were returned to Israel by 1989 (though the USS Intrepid museum ended up buying one back from Israel to add to its collection, which I think was BuNo 999734). As for why the US didn't outright buy them for use with its own military: there was simply no need. By the mid-late 1980s, when these aircraft were being leased, the US had far better aircraft in its inventory: F-14s, F/A-18s, A-7s, A-6s, A-4Ms (USMC-only), Harriers (USMC only), F-15s, F-16s, F-4s, A-10s, etc. Looking at the Kfir with a more crirical view: it was... alright. It got the job done for Israel as a replacement for their Neshers. Foreign Kfir upgrades (C.10 namely) were a bit better, due to the addition of a more advanced cockpit/avionics, but it's still a 3rd Gen airframe with a turbojet from the 1960s. The variant the US had leased, the C.1/Gderot, was quite literally intended only as a stopgap solution in Israeli service, until the C.2 model was able to be produced in large enough numbers to be formally adopted (around 1978-or-so). The C.1s were then relegated to backburner roles until being ENTIRELY replaced/phased out by 1983-1984. In the long run, the IAF didn't even use the Kfir for all that long, with a service life going from 1975-1996 (shorter than the F-4 Phantom II, which Israel acquired by 1969, and was retired in the early 2000s). The only other foreign aircraft the US ended up adopting was the AV-8A/C/TAV-8A Harrier, which was exclusive to the US Marine Corps (it fit their needs perfectly).

This is the only KZbin channel I'm subscribed to where I watch EVERY new video and here's the thing: I've never played War Thunder and don't intend to. Everything herein is well done and entertaining, especially the narration. I fully expect it to keep getting better and better. The last flight combat sim I played was "Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2: Pacific Theater" right around the turn of the century -- but I did play the f out of that, so I'm familiar with the concepts.

The F-84 at its BR is really good. It gets an air spawn, it is very fast. I farmed the hell out of SL and RP with it. It can carry bombs, so I fly out, smash a base, then turn back in with lots of energy and can easily get a kill or two within seconds of the furball starting.

i love the c2 nowadays, it has as far as i know the most advanced radar rangefinder in the game, even allowing you to slave missiles to the rangefinder, meaning you can have your nose pointed off bore of a target but as long as the rangefinder is "locking" that target your aim 9g automatically points at it. not super useful but very cool and it really makes me laugh when it does come into play

If you wanna maximize profit in this thing take 2x 2000lb and 1x 750lb bombs, plus 2 missiles, with this loadout you can still go 1320 kph on the deck, and 1 base gets you an insane amount of rp and sl cause of the planes multipliers

are you gonna play the kfir c.7 again? i was hoping that the f16 and mig29 would perform the same or better because the kfir can hit mach 2 like within the first 5 minutes of the game but they somehow arent as fast. also i feel like the kfir got an updated FM because it turns even more insane now except the wings break a lot easier too. still one of my favorite planes, the playstyle where u climb to 7.5km and then hit 1800 kmh and then dive on people and kill them with aim9gs from like 7km away is really fun. you can basically pick off 2-3 people within 10 seconds because nobody looks that high.

For the canard imo it’s a really good base bomber for air rb bc of how fast it is. I usually speed to a base bomb it and get back to the airbase as fast as I can, rearm and go back and bomb again. I’ve had some games I was able to drop 5 tons of bombs on bases and make 50,000 rp and 145k sl. Normal games tho are usually 50k sl and 5-15k rp

@Demon Most likely it's due to him being a CC so that has it's benefits resulting in a large amount of orders given (I think that's it as a few other CC's have a large amount of orders) + orders haven't been around for eight years more like four iirc (although it could be possible that he has ground them out). Best we get a definitive answer from Dyfen himself.

It has a good engine but wants to rip its wings going straight so that not great compared to a lot of planes at its br that can go faster and not crumple. and then there is the fact that it is a delta wing which isnt great, at least for me. And last is its missiles are dog water, I wish it would've got the Pythons. But this is strictly just my opinion. The jet is what got me to the Kurnass 2k and the F16. And I will credit it what saved Israel air for me. But I will never say it was good.
