I'll try them out. Try Soluntos in Little Italy. Dominque has a very good thing there for many years. His family originally from Italy, they moved to New York and had a bakery and restaurant. They moved to Little Italy. Back in the 90's they used to deliver bread to Mr A's, which used to be the best restaurant in San Diego. Best Italian bread, as far as I'm concerned, Soluntos in little Italy. Try them. Thank you.

Mona Lisa is probably my favorite in SD. They are always skimpy on the meat though so you have to pay for double meat if you want it to be good. Also by default they put mayo and mustard on every sandwich except Caprese so you have to make sure to tell them to not do that unless you want that. That’s not an Italian thing so not sure why that’s the default setting for sandwiches at an Italian deli. Should be oil & vinegar by default not mayo and mustard.
