It determines how fast or slow your shot reaches its green window. Jump being the fastest and release being the slowest, but it does not effect the speed of your jumpshot animation

For me I’m 6’8 and Like base Kyle Korver whet Chris mullins/kyle Korver 73%/27% if you’re more catch and shoot. If you’re more off the dribble same releases but Scottie pippin base

Before this I was using mcgrady base with Luka R1 and KCP R2 60/40 but I didn’t like how with the mcgrady base you slide in the 3pt line on catch and shoots. Depending on if I’m the main pg or more off ball depends if I use the pippen base or Korver base. But pippen was my base all 2k23

I think they make a custom player (with their myplayer attributes and jumpshot) and add it to a MyNBA roster, start a new MyNBA (with custom roster), then go to Coaching->Practice->Freestyle

That's cause you're releasing too late for push if release is green. You clearly like the release timing better. It changes the timing/cue so if you are greening release timing then push you're prob always slightly late. Makes sense to me.
