The only character in fighting game history people want to be replaced by a next generation clone with the same exact moveset.

It's worse than that. Rufus is the only fighting game character where people prefer the rough draft over the final design. People would have loved King Cobra even if the moveset was identical. Ono had the worst taste in character designs and produced games that looked more like Punch-Out than Street Fighter. I don't miss him one bit.
