What a beautiful place, and to work there as a model maker, heaven.

That looked like the mini mountain railway that runs up and down from Lynmouth to Lynton.

Good depiction of road resurfacing!! Yet more of the dreaded ‘unnecessary roadworks’!!

What a gorgeous pier!! Which seaside town is it based on?

Something I've always been curous about with Bekonscot is why, with so much space available, the express trains are so short. They seem to have grown from three to four carriages since I last visited but six or eight would be more dramatic so is there a limit to what the original Bassett Lowke locos can reliably haul?

Might be for track circuits on shorter sections maybe?

It really depends on the members of staff working. A chap I knew who used to work there preferred the express train to have 5-7 coaches. Now they claim it’s because they see it as more of a “country” railway. & the express loco is a more modern freelance, not Bassett Lowke :-)

The village is definately worth visiting, with so much detail and fun scenes (spoiler alert.....look for the burning cottage)

Why were the trains and buildings built at different scales?
