Still loving the Skin1004 hyalu-cica Water fit sun serum...just purchased two more tubes this past week. I agree I hated sunscreen because of the crappy US FDA filters which have NOT been updated since 1999. I hated putting it on since it just felt like putting grease on my face. Not anymore since I decided to try the Skin1004 product. Never going back to the grease!

Purito Daily Soft Touch is the best IMO. It's fragrance/silicone/sulfate/alcohol/paraben/oil-free & zero pore clogging ingredients as well

I really don't consider a sunscreen to be summer appropriate unless it's water resistant. Even just light sweating is going to make all the k-beauty sunscreens slide right off. My pet peeve is brands that advertise non-water resistant sunscreens with images at the beach/pool.

Rob, you have to try Isa Knox UV Sun Pro 365 extreme sun fluid (also Korean). Best I've ever used. Beautiful satin finish--not too matte, not too dewy, completely transparent, sets down completely, zero sting, doesn't have to be reapplied. xx

One Thing - Centella Moisturizing Sunscreen - mineral sunscreen, very moisturizing and feels a little oily even 1 hour after application. I don't think I could use this with my normal/oily skin in the summer but would love in the winter to replace my moisturizer.

I use the Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sunscreen. I’ve used the Jumiso Snail and Peptide essence, really nice.

Some of my favourites here Rob. I love trying sunscreen, always happy when I find they don't pill with other products or makeup. I go between MAS, 1004, BOJ, Haru Haru mineral each depends on my mood and what my skin needs. Yours is great when I have a battle with tret. It soothes the skin.x

Nice to see such a variety 🌞. I live in sunny South Africa but am not a fan of the heat. Temps this summer were the highest since the 1850s. Growing up, sunscreen wasn’t a common thing and we were always tanned as teenagers and students. Regret that now as I have sun damage appearing now at age 53 on arms, chest and legs though that skin hasn’t been exposed at all, or only very seldom with highest SPF for over 20 years. So yes please people wear that sunscreen😘

I'm relatively new to this and a hoarder so working through my stash one by one... will have to wait a bit to try new sunscreen! So far my fav is Cosrx aloe - as a bonus it soothes my skin when it's a bit sensitive or sensitised. I've also tried I think Farmer's Daughter (blue tube) cream and essence. The essence pilled, the cream I liked but not more than the CosrX, and the price of the Cosrx is better. Coola, a scented one, was ok, but not as soothing. Used all of these with other skincare but not moisturiser underneath usually. Have 2 Beauty of Joseon waiting for me to try when I finish the Unseen Sunscreen I use now (that one needs moisturiser underneath. Used to love it cos not so greasy, but the K ones have dethroned it!)

If you loved the Jumiso sunscreen, I highly recommend checking the Beplain Sunmuse Moisture SPF50 - it’s very similar ingredient-wise and my holy grail for the beautiful finish and, most importantly, I don’t feel like I’m wearing any sunscreen at all and no eye-sting (very rare for me)

HI Rob - loved this video - so many great ideas and will check out your MAS SPF - trying to get my hubby to use spf so anything that is good value and with no scent I may persuade him to use, esp if the price point is good :) I have sensitive skin esp around the eyes so use ColourScience mineral untinted but it is a bit pricey and still leaves a bit of a caste on my light olive skin. I also like the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun as my second layer application. My emoji isn't working so you will have to imagine a tulip or daffodil - I fall in neither of categories you asked about - I prefer spring to either summer or winter, so I am an 'in-betweener" I guess!!

☀️☀️☀️🥵 I have no choice at the moment with temperatures up to 38C!! It is going to rain this week hopefully so we may see a drop to 34C… it’s times like this that I dream of the cold weather of Manchester!! Will be home in July. Can’t wait to try the K-Secret sunscreen but I have too many open at the moment. I’m alrernating between MAS and Numbuzin. The Numbuzin is good for one of my finicky foundations that’s very temperamental (Guerlain). My last tube of BOJ is going on my neck. It’s a beautiful sunscreen but sunscreens are just getting better and better these days and others just control my oily breakthrough slightly better. When I first bought BOJ I never imagined it being relegated to my neck!! Hope all’s well with you xx❤

I thought, or initially you said the Awe-Sun because of how easily it went on and I thought you said it was lightweight was but then you reviewed the Haru Haru which you said was thicker, and seem to recommend that one more. It’s a pity that the Numbuzin sunscreen has velvet extract! Velvet extract comes from reindeer antlers so is not Vegan. Why do we need an ingredient from an animal with all the ingredients we have to use. A bit disappointing as I was about to buy it but now can’t. 😢

@@SleeplessBeauty_Alexandra I was made aware about it as an ingredient in some top end Korean skincare brands. They say that naturally the antlers do shed off and it’s less painful to cut them off. Ok for me just the fact that velvet is used anyway in a skincare product is a turn off. Koreans do use animal extracts in some small amount of their products. You have to keep your eye on the ingredients list really closely and look at the ingredients from different sources. 🥺

Is the numbuzin 1 sunscreen being discontinued from numbuzin? I don't see it on their website

the pa protection is much lower on Korean sunscreens than European ones, so do you really want a sunscreen that lasts 10 hours if you are going to be out in the sun for a whole day, I recommend you p20 which has a pa protection of 50 and 60, but do you only going to and from work or if it's winter time, you can use the Korean ones, as they are often very caring for the skin.

This is not strictly true.. some Korean sunscreens offer PPD of 23-28 which is a lot higher than some European ones.. there are some European ones like altruist or bioderma which offer much higher but a lot don't so I would always recommend people check the individual protection not make assumptions based on where something is manufactured.. sending love x

No worries at all! I just added another comment because I was confused which mineral sunscreen you preferred. Initially, it sounded like it was that Awe-Sun because it was thinner and lighter, but then it sounds like you said the thicker Haru Haru should be the go to. Could you clarify if that is your preference and why are you like it better? I definitely don’t want a thicker product. I’m having enough troubles with the few mineral sunscreens. I’ve tried that have broken me out but I’m on Tret so I’m trying to stick to mineral sunscreens. I was going to pay $30 (!!) for shipping to have some Australian chemical sunscreen mailed to the US but I’m afraid I might have an allergic reaction to one of the chemicals since I’m on Tret and how sensitive I’ve been to mineral sunscreens.
