@@BobBroeking Ok, me and a couple buddies in high school. Parents dropped us off. We had 1 cell phone and were supposed to call them to come pick us up when we were done camping. My friend who was in charge of food only brought drinks, a costco size bag of Chex Mix and a few apples. That lasted us about one night. Btw, the cell phone reception was terrible and the battery on the Nokia died after a day. (someone wasted the battery on that snake game. promise not me.) By day two we were all really thirsty. I found a beer bottle, made a fire (had a lighter), and boiled the lake water for drinking. Well, I guess I didn't boil it enough, because we all got pretty sick after that. The nights were cold in the tents and there were pretty big rats that would walk through our camp site. I can't remember why we didn't swim to shore. It seemed kind of far and maybe had gators on our mind. I think it was mostly the embarrassment of accepting defeat. It wasn't life threatening. In the end we were just hungry, thirsty, cold and tired. Parents arrived day 4 after not hearing from us and thinking we were having a wonderful time.

Bob.. I am new to Florida and just bought a 2021 FX HO cruiser. I would like to become a member of your jet ski group and do some touring and trips with you guys. How do I get in touch with you??
@BobBroeking Жыл бұрын
John: Welcome to Florida and congrats on buying a 21 FX...it is a great machine. Some of the best ways to meet other riders is to join some of the Florida centric jet ski groups on Facebook. There you will meet other riders and have a chance to do trips around Florida with the different groups. Then, f you like smaller groups, you find some riders you like on those groups and plan private rides. I do not do group rides and the best way I can assist you is by putting out videos of places I go. Each video has the ramp information and a map of the route so you can repeat any of my trips and learn from my mistakes... :-) A lot of that information is in the video written description on YT. If you are not an experienced skier, start slow and build your experience base in different types of water and situations. Thanks for watching and reaching out. Bob
