LG's website says the WM3400CW is 5.2 cu. I'm confused. Did this get refreshed this year?

LG machines are notorious for not turning on. LG can't seem to fix this crucial problem. Hundreds of videos are devoted to this issue.

I just heard of this issue. Someone said it's a $1 part, a 5w wound resistor. It's weird that LG currently has the best repair rate of all brands on consumer reports at least, but then there's this resistor issue. It really drives me nuts how the appliances market has become. We haven't bought major appliances for a very long time, so many years, and now we just had problems with both a new fridge and new washer at the same time. GE Cafe and Speedqueen FF7 front load washer. Both were leaking, usable but leaking. We had both scheduled to be replaced and it's been 2-3 months of waiting and multiple phone calls over both items. Costco is taking care of their part and has been doing pretty good mostly, but the speedqueen retailer messed up with us to the point where we cancelled everything. We don't even want a speedqueen anymore and I personally don't think it's remotely worth it. We can find a perfectly good front loader at costco for less than half the price. We've never had so many issues and frustration before this era of shitty appliances.
