Best Looking and Most Powerful graphics card we've tested- ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Taichi White OC

Today, we will be taking a look at the ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Taichi White OC graphics card. The card uses AMD’s Navi 31 XTX GPU which features 96 compute units, 96 Ray accelerators and 6,144 stream processors.
The GPU on this card is factory-overclocked with a Boost Clock speed of up to 2,680 MHz (the default is 2500 Mhz), while the Game Clock speed is now at 2,510 MHz (default is 2300 Mhz). The Typical Board Power is rated at 355 W, so we recommemd a power supply of 850W or higher.
It features 24GB of GDDR6 ram running at a speed of 20 Gbps on a 384-bit memory bus.
It also includes a Dual BIOS design, which allows users choose preferred setting by switching between the P (Performance) BIOS and Q (Quiet) BIOS.

Microcenter site claims you need a 1000 watt psu minimum! I’d say if you have a x3d cpu then 850watt could work but if you’re running an intel cpu or 7900x-7950x I’d say 1000 watt is minimum requirement!

So, using Performance BIOS the GPU temperature peaked at 52 degrees Celcius and the Hotspot temperature peaked at 90 degrees, exceptionally good for the GPU but somewhat underwhelming for the Hotspot, since this is a **premium model** , but anyway, incredible performance and cooling! Any official info about the Quiet BIOS GPU and Hotspot temperatures under full load?

I asked my friend who builds PCS for a living this same exact question. I’m running AMD Ryzen 7950X3D, an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB GDDR6 video card unlocked processor, cooled by a LianLi Galahad AIO Liquid Cooler, 64GB DDR5 5600 RAM, a 2TB Western Digital SN850X SSD, and an ASUS Prime X670E-Pro system board powered by a 850W Gold PSU. I bought this prebuilt and he did all the math for the wattages and for this set up it’s just right. It really just depends what various components you are frankensteining together. hope this was helpful

I'm just getting into to PC gaming I got a great pre-built PC at microcenter. It has a ryzen 7950x3d cpu. Then a 7900xtx with 24gb of vram white tachi edition. I wanted to add an I so it says Itachi like in Naruto. But I also have 64 gb of ddr5 ram by a 2 32gb flair x5 . Is their any settings I should know. I know I need to prioritize using the 3d cache first because that part of the cpu has a higher clock speed.

@@Funkykit my x670e motherboard Needs 2 CPU pci-e and I only got 2 spare pcei sockets left for my GPU in my power supply Nzxt 1200 while the GPU recommended triple 8pin. Now I use 8pin & 6pin+2 connector.

Definitely not better than the 4090 but it competes very well with the 4080.

Note: vertical GPU mount is ugly and a bit worse for cooling. Always horizontal GPU mount.

Hey , I am using NZXT C1200 PSU , and it came with only 2 PCIE connectors , this GPU requires 3 , what shall I do ? Can I just buy another cable and how safe is that ? I also have 12VHPWR which is 16 pins ? Can I used that one and then another one that is PCIE 8 pin ? Thanks in advance!

Not recommended to use 12VHPWR … it is really designed for Nvidia GeForce RTX cards only. Just use a 8-pin PCIE splitter cable … that’s what I use 👍

52c is fine but a difference of that and the hot spot being 90c is a very bad card............ the difference between main junction temp and hotspot should not exceed 15-20ci.e 52c-72c .

You don't know what you are talking about, anything below 110c is normal for the hot spot. That is the normal thermal range that it is designed to handle for the hot spot. In battlefield 2042 4k max settings, my hot spot ranges from 90-100c on 100% fan. It is not "very bad" and my room doesn't feel really hot playing either since I just open the door.

Yes. Same card, just different colour. I've got the black edition and it has the exact same specs and performance. Excellent card btw; very happy with it - performs very well under Linux 🙂

I'm surprised the Time spy score is so much lower then mine was with my 13900k My 13900k scores 22,970 stock and 23,348 with a + 2 bin OC setting the voltage to 2.85 on the 57× and 3.15 on the 60x It blew my old 3080ti out of the water but the game play wasn't great for my sim racing title
