Great video Jacob! I'm thinking about getting the Choice Hotels card someday. I'm becoming more and more (in the words of Uncle Luke) feeling "Just give me the points!" FNC's are probably way better for you since you travel FT. :) But for me, a regular everyday schlub and Infrequent Miler, I don't like trying to shoehorn them in.

Even I have trouble using those FNCs. Like with IHG I didn’t want to spend the free nights because I’m always staying in hotels for 10k-20k points a night so I never want to waste my 40k free nights on those properties. I finally found a good place to stay in Switzerland to use my free nights in a few weeks

Every time I've tried to use Clear, except for one, it's always taken longer than if I went in the TSA PreCheck line. At JFK it took 30 minutes to use Clear when it would've taken over an hour for PreCheck, so I'm grateful for that. But at my home airport, the PreCheck line is always 0-20 people, so maximum wait time is 4-5 minutes. The Clear line is usually the same amount of people or more and because you have to wait for an Clear agent to assist you, the line doesn't move and takes way longer

Hi Jacob this is going to be a noobie question. If I get the Hawaiian credit card and the Barclay AA credit card, when the bonuses hit your account, should one transfer does points out somewhere else or are they safe sitting in those accounts? I wonder if down the road there would ever be an issue transferring Hawaiian to Alaska or an issue with AA card by Barclays going away. Thanks a lot

You don’t need to transfer the points anywhere after earning them. If you want Alaska miles instead of Hawaiian, I would transfer those over to Alaska as soon as you earn them. Both Alaska and American miles are fine sitting in your account and they are safe there
