i would recommend to save up 8k for the fish radar. There are also two quests in the game for fishing rods, one on Roslit island and one on Mushgrove

id recommend going for steady rod then mythical rod and finally trident rod (steady is cheap and good for fishing big fish, mythical is good for making money, trident is good for money and fishing rare fish)

Whene appraising u gamble for a fish to Get new «genetics» for example effects statuses and also weight, this could also raise the price of the fish OR make it Worse so be carefull

I really recommend you to save up for the steady rod so you can catch bigger fish and also easy to catch some big fish

Yo Vex let me help you out man Don't waste money on appraising these fishes, only do appraisal on big mythical fishes because their value becomes 10k 20k 60k, sell all legendary and lower for cash. Now don't get every rod and bad rods, there's a fixed path which is most efficient for rods you got lucky rod which was a bad move should've got carbon rod and skipped to next island. ANYWAYS GET STEADY ROD FROM ROSLIT THEN SAVE UP 15K GET MAGNET ROD AND FARM AT SUNSTONE ISLAND MONEY FARM TILL 110K FOR INSTANT ENDGAME MYTHIC ROD
