We looked at the qx60, XC90 and TX. For the longest that’s the one we wanted and it’s still up there but we saw the XC90 and test drove it. That was #1 on the list. It was a 2024 or 2025 inscription. It was luxurious even nicer than the 60 autograph we looked at. But the XC90 did feel a little smaller. My mom is as tall as Mason but I’m not that tall and it felt like a compact crossover from her driving position. The XC90’s B6 powertrain didn’t sound bad either and it was quick. I’m not a fan of the new VC turbo in the qx60. The V6 was far better in the way it sounded and I’m sure more refined. Then we looked at a TX 350 premium which was ok looking at it for the first time in person. Aesthetically, it looked quite boring with the all black cabin and didn’t seem as nice as the 60 or the 90 but blew both of them out the water in terms of space. 1st row, second row and 3rd row. 2nd row cargo space was impressive. We didn’t drive it though. Sometime we will drive each vehicle that we look at once we’re actually buying a vehicle.

The new touchscreen update in the ACURA MDX is a major improvement. Also a nice combination with hard button controls with the HVAC interface. And an actual knob for the sound system volume. It’s like they read my mind. Very quiet ride and fun to drive makes the MDX a compelling and understandable choice. Well done Honda.

Hi. Love your reviews and now a subscriber! Wondering why BMW X7 and Lexus TX 350 aren't in same category (they're almost identical dimensions). When will your large SUV 3 row review be posted? I'm looking to make a decision this week - if possible can you share what the BMW X7 will be rated (if Lexus TX gets 40/50 on your scale what will BMW X7 receive?) We're deciding between BMW X7 40i (with 2nd row being bench seat to enable flattening) and Lexus TX 350 (don't like hybrid not having sunroof!) Thank you!

Unfortunately, we have not scored this category since we are waiting for the Lincoln Navigator to come out. I can say that the X7 is one of our favorite luxury SUVs so we anticipate it scoring highly. If you haven't already, we highly suggest driving them both on the same day because there are big differences in the overall refinement.

Another great review by the bros! I'm not sure why Acura continues to offer the MDX as a 3rd-row SUV. It's just too tight back there. They should just punt and redesign it as a 2-row more like how the Lexus RX is designed. Turn it into a standard 5-row suv and use that remaining space in the back for cargo.

Ik it may not be relevant but I feel like the palisade should be on this list. Despite it not having a luxury nameplate, it has that luxury vehicle feel. Some may not be able to distinguish real luxury vs “fake luxury” but I feel like that vehicle, especially on the calligraphy trim deserves the premium car title. It’s also quite spacious as well. It’s on the 10 best normal midsize SUVs but it can definitely be on this list too.

Not really. I’m considering replacing my wife’s 14 qx. TX. GX and Audi q7 are my choices and I’m leaning toward TX. GX is way too expensive with dealer marking over msrp. TX have some annoying safety features and too much beeps. Other than that TX seems to be the best contender.

@ my brother have a pallisade. It’s very nice yes very smooth ride and quiet cabin. I have a 2020 genesis G90 so I do like Korean vehicles. But the palisade is not far nicer than TX. I had 13 LS460 and 2020 RX so I would like to go back to Lexus since they were some of the best vehicles I ever own. RX was just such a comfortable suv can drive all day and not be tired.
