Nevermind ship upgrades. I want whole new classes of ships. Many would be upset but just have similar bridges (boo lack of variety) but things like a battleship for more orbitals or an aircraft carrier for more eagles

Damn I love this idea. They wouldn't even need to give more stratagem slots/uses, even just buffing the specific stratagems in some way unrelated to stats (a 10% increase in an arbitrary stat that ends up being unnoticeable in-game is incredibly underwhelming) would work. The carrier might give each eagle stratagem its own rearm time for example. They would have to remove the eagle jammer and orbital inaccuracy effects though, or at least make the ships counter them. Imagine buying an end game upgrade, only to not be able to call the stratagem properly in-game lmao--There's an almost 100% chance this will happen :')

For anyone who doesn't know: You can only get these missions on worlds currently needing defense (The ones with a mark and a timer over them on the galaxy map), AND you can fail these missions but extract alive to still claim all the samples. Just let the timer run out, then scoot over to the extraction shuttle and evac without having to fight anything. Keep moving, as bot drops and bug breaches will just follow you around the map until you extract. Stay in one spot and you will just get bogged down by enemies and rolled under. Ignore what you can, run from everything you can, you are there to scoop samples then bug out, and that's it. Edit: For Bots, use the AM rifle stratagem. You are going to be constantly harassed by the damn annoying bot walkers. Do yourself a favor and take the Anti-Material Rifle. Quasar cannon is too slow because of the overheat and you are going to be dealing with multiple walkers. Railgun needs a charge-up time. Arc Thrower is too slow to kill. Autocannon is good too, but has worse aim and limited ammo. Most other stuff won't penetrate their frontal armor and you need a fast Primary to mow down crowds. Chucking grenades at them is a waste. You won't need a heavy weapon for emplacements or tanks on these Retrieve missions because they don't spawn. AM rifle also one-shots Hulks of you are playing on high enough difficulty to encounter them.

The termicide missions while they were going on made it REALLY easy to get super samples uncontested. While they sometimes did not have enough excess zone outside the termicide area to spawn a super uranium rock, when it did, it was easy to spot and grab uncontested.

Hunters having more health than Devastators makes sense. In reality, Devastators are just standard bots inside an armor suit, and I think that's what gives them extra defense.

Compared to their medium-tier Terminid contemporaries (Hive Guards and Warriors) it really doesn't, though. Hunters are insanely mobile, leaping sideways to dodge fire, launching forwards to close the gap, frequently working together to flank the player - the health combined with their _evasion_ makes them much harder to kill. It makes Leaper-Hunter squads a pain to deal with and far more threatening than other groups.

You're not getting "good" breaches, it's the timing u fell into. Hit a POi and loot til the "breach detected" ping pops up then take off to the next POi and they will always spawn behind u like that. Loot n move, loot n move, until u find the sexstone, then circle back around to gather the stuff u left (unless u are able to get it all the first time) I usually drop an airstrike on EVERY POi as I approach (especially mat runs vs bots)

I made a post on the reddit about this, but I had the bad teammate experience with a Helldiver who was a higher level than me, who died while I was getting samples, and when I reinforced him, he impact grenaded me twice, both times he was just spamming them on the ground so that I would keep dying, that's when I kicked him. This mission has been out for so long, and you would thing a Helldiver of that level would know how to play with coordination at that point.

As a fellow diver of the hells, I can personally attest that this works swimmingly. I am now level 60 and have ALL ship upgrades and stratagems. This strat is goated and Dough, you sir are also the GOAT, been watching since Dauntless. ✌

goodluck on the video, i've already tried multiple times the idea of distracting the bug breaches / bot drops to the other side of the map it just doesn't work anymore, enemy reinforcements are forced in the center if anyone is there and they are spammed so that you can't instantly delete them (at least on bots they would send 2 bots drops on opposite sides)

I still find a lot of people who don't understand that 3/4 should be collecting samples while the last diver is at the base. And telling them that, is almost like talking to a wall. I dislike the mission as it stands, and I do hope it gets changed. Maybe add the sample farm to the base, having 10 common and rares in the base and a smaller time frame to do it in. There is no short map that contains rare samples and that is bizarre, considering they gave a mission with a dead easy mission a high EXP and super sample farm not too long ago. I also really don't think sample farms are necessary. Farming in this game is kind of bizarre and only leads to people crying about nothing to do... because having fun playing missions killing bots and bugs is apparently not the point of the game lol.

Its lets about the objective and more about the journey. A significant portion of the weapons dont feel fun to use or unreliable because of nerfs or stats or bugs. HMG is a good example.

I was farming this planet yesterday for the same reasons. I also HATE the night missions, I cannot see anything! At least ice planet at night is still pretty bright. I wish all planets were available all the time. I would play snow missions only.

Dough, I love ya buddy so I'ma give ya my 2 cents, especially since you're already rockin the metic armor. No bueno jetpack for speed. Go supply backpack and scorcher primary. Give yourself a love tap w scorcher at your feet and stim and boom you're sprinting all day around the whole map.

frost barrier is the most broken spell in the game for bosses. you can do 1/4 to 1/2 of their hp if timed right and you have a decent gem in it. I use frost barrier, bow/scythe w/ ball of lightning for majority of fights. for some fights I use frost barrier and chaos shield since they're higher frequency on attacks.

@@omegaweltall2001 There is a bug with the HUD settings that if you have the Mission Info Visibility set to "Visible", it will lock the current state of the Sample Count Visibility. If you turn the Mission Info Visibility to another setting like Dynamic the HUD for the Sample Count will show up as it should. I had the same issue and figured it out by changing every setting one by one.. I put in a ticket for it but there's not been a response for 2 months now so it seems they don't care.

put off getting the last 2 ship modules i didnt have for a while cause i dont really care for their effects so i was just sitting at max samples for a while. realized they might add more ship modules past them in the future so i may as well get them just in case. but now there arent any defense campaigns to do this mission on :(

there's no reason for 9 IMO 8 is nice since you'll more consistently get 40/30/5. 7 can also give you 40/30/3 but not as often. 9 just means more mobs for 1 extra super while also making the main objective tougher on top of more mobs to fight. 7-8 is the play for this mission always IMO

Rocket devastators can take a full load of Dominator sometimes without dieing. Thats 15×275 damage and it just dies with the last one. Hunter dies from 1 of thoes dominator shots.

Rock devs like all devs take 1 headshot from dominator or 2 shots to the same leg. Shooting them elsewhere tends to disperse the damage and never reaching the threshold to kill any individual part

I have maxed out samples, and my advice for farming them is don't. The game is fun, play the game for fun, and pick up samples along the way. If you don't enjoy the game, don't play. To get a good amount of samples while you play, pick a difficulty that you can fairly reliably clear the map, and then do that. If that difficulty isn't 7 or higher, get better at the game until you can reliably beat level 7 with at least some map clearance, to get super samples. In my experience, at level 7, you get more super samples than you need and will max out on them before you max out on rares, so there is no need to go to level 8 or 9 for more super samples. If you are good enough to have a good time and reliably clear a good portion of the map on level 8 or 9, go ahead, they have more of all kinds of samples, but what is more important is which difficulty is most enjoyable. If you enjoy optimizing for samples per minute, of course do that, the point is to have fun, and your fun doesn't have to be the same as my fun, just don't let samples get in the way of your fun.
