We’ve had our duvalays for over 15 years! We got them as caravanners but lost them to our children as they found them so warm and comfortable. They really do last forever.

I had two single mattress toppers in 2015 for my twin bed Globecar whose beds were rock hard. This is before they became well known. I went to their little factory in Dewsbury, Wakefield, somewhere like that. Tried the bronze silver and gold. The bronze was weak, the gold too soft for me, the silver perfect. Fantastic product always slept well.

Not the cheapest sleep system but worth every penny. I was lucky enough to make use of an offer and got 2 with 4.5 and 10 tog duvets with spare covers. Very comfortable even on a R&R bed.

I’ve been using a standard Duvalay for the last 10 years and it’s excellent. I switch between a 4.5 and 10 tog duvet depending on the season. Can thoroughly recommend for campers or motorhomes

Great to see that they stand the test of time! How do your find storing your 10 tog? Is there much of a difference between the 10 and 4.5 tog when rolled up?

@@JerbaCampers it’s much bulkier with the 10 tog of course. I don’t use the memory foam insert as I have a very good mattress in my motorhome. During the day I roll it up very tight and use it as a pillow. I’ve lost the straps unfortunately

I love these vans, the layout and the sleepwear! Can we see more content around the pop up roof and bed system, and how that looks and works with someone sleeping in it, how they get up and down into the roof bed etc. (it always seems to be missed). Great video Steve. Easy to see where they can be stored on the Tiree and Cromarty… where would they be best stored/fit on a Santa? I suspect they don’t fit under the single seats.

@@JerbaCampers thanks for checking that out, very useful to know. Sorry to ask another question but do you think you would fit under the Sanna seats which have the slider fitted? I know the space is slightly smaller due to the mechanism for sliding the seats. Thanks 👍

Do you think that the compact thickness ads enough comfort to to R&R bed? I'm in doubt of ordering this one but am afraid that the 2,5 cm is insufficient. And the thicker ones for me are to big to store.

Prices? The two sleeping bags seem a bit weird for a couple, with the foam gap down the middle.

Duvalays are certainly a great improvement to sleeping on standard seats but a foam topper is still nowhere near as comfy as a domestic sprung mattress. There is surely a tremendous business opportunity for a company that can produce campervan seats that are able to be folded down to make really comfortable beds. We oldies want our comfort and many of us are quite prepared to spend our children's inheritance to get it!

There is an option for foam backing on the chairs when you spec your van. Would it be better to use both or one or the other?

Thermoflex backing does add an extra level of comfort to the RIB seat when using it without something like a Duvalay, but if you are using a Duvalay it's likely that you won't feel a great difference between having and not having thermoflex on your RIB bed. Thanks

Mattress should be at least 18cm... This one is way too thin and there s no difference at all on the confort... Are you paid ? That is a good idea though.

The 5cm one is as comfy as a normal domestic mattress. If you haven’t tried it your comment is worthless

I don’t get the hype with Duvalay I honestly think they are naff for the high price. I much prefer the Vango self inflating mattress’ with a sleeping bag or duvet

Ah, but have you tried it? An inflatable will never give the support of memory foam
