Retired Snapon franchise owner of 35 years here. One advantage of the Snapon for a professional technician who uses a creeper daily is that the casters carry a lifetime warranty. But, at $300, you could have bought a lot of nicer casters for the other creepers. The casters on all of the creepers tested were very cheep casters. Where I work we use castors that hold thousands of pounds and they still wouldn't cost $300. I just can't see the point in buying a snap on creeper for $300 when there is less than $40 worth of material. Are we saying that it takes $260 worth of labor to make it? Snap-on must have a huge overhead.

I always watch all your videos. On this one, I still use my old wooden creeper with the steel wheels and the small foam headrest. Been using it for about 45 years. If I have to work under the car outside of the garage in gravel or dirt. I have a couple small silver tarps from Harbor Freight. Good video, didn’t realize there were that many creepers out there. 👍

I have the grey Pittsburgh creeper from Harbor Freight. I only need it to do oil changes anymore, but it’s been reliable and a lot more comfortable than laying on a piece of cardboard. There were a bunch of reports where the wheels broke through the plastic, but I stand at 5’-11” and weigh 225 and have had no issues or problems rolling over the seams and cracks on my garage floor. Any of these newer style creepers are far and away better than the old wooden ones that used the angled steel swivel wheels. Great video!

I started with the Pittsburg from HF. Wheels were folding under. I made my own out of some leftover wood and heavy duty casters from HD. Works very well. I shaped it using the same form I used to make curved back dining room chairs and coopered leg table from Tommy Mac's show. Still watched the video anyway. Cheers!

It seems all too often, that before I see your reviews, I end up buying the product. I don't know if I am lucky or not, but usually, about 70% of the time, I make good purchases ... and get in line with your reviews. I needed a creeper recently, and bought the Pittsburgh ... have been very happy with it ... the price the only reason I went with the Pittsburgh over the Daytona. Price a factor, as I probably use a creeper, once or twice a decade, and low cost makes sense, as does, plastic, so I can hang it on the wall when not using it. I still share your videos when ever I can ... one of the best review sites on YT .... I wish you reviewed hand guns and rifles.

I used the 90* and straight CN 1/4” air grinders. Both lasted more or less 9mos (metal fabrication). Not daily use, but we did quite a bit of weld grinding and polishing for sanitary conveyor systems. After blowing out bearing for the second time on both, I replaced them with Ingersoll. I used them for 4yrs with no issues until the shop had to close its doors I’ll be honest, I didn’t oil the CN before use like I should, but DID oil the Ingersoll before use (2-3 drops). So take that for what it’s worth I would love to see him do a review though

Another great review! If YT weren't free, this channel would make it worthwhile to pay for it. I did buy the Pittsburgh creeper last year, and after a long day, my back and shoulders felt bruised for a couple days. I suspect this would be true for all the hard plastic models. After only a few uses, I had to toss it since the body broke where the wheels attach. I don't use a creeper enough to replace it, but if I did I would get the Daytona.

After breaking the little casters on 2 creepers, i finally spent the cash on a Bone creeper. They have 5" casters, are molded out of thick red plastic and have been fantastic. The creeper is over 10 years old and still going strong.

I have the snap on creeper with the adjustable head rest and it is the best creeper you can buy. I'm a heavy duty mechanic and some work days i spend 8+ hours on my creeper. I have used many but if you can do 50 bucks a month its affordable. Most others work good but are so lightweight and flimsy they are semi disposable like work boots. Ive had the snap on creeper for over a year now and its in amazing condition. two guys in my shop have the same one but one is 8 years old and one is 5 years old. The one got ran over by a tri drive twin steer crane truck and he just bent it back into shape and he still uses is.

I think many on the low end cheap out on casters . I deal with a company who distributes casters . They have USA and import brands . They also can modify and special order . A simple upgrade might improve these . Since there is no middleman , the prices are reasonable . Thanks for the comparison .

Last purchased Jan 29, 2017 Omega 91452 Black Low Profile Z-Creeper - 450 lbs in.... By 2020 we had to reenforce it. The metal is very soft around the pins on the base. Eventually the holes became 3 times larger and no longer supportive. Outside of that it is a good Creeper.

Recently bought a ICON creeper at HF. Rocks and floor cracks that break the wheels off small wheel creepers are no problem for the ICON creeper. The only down side is that it is heavy and awkward to carry. I will be adding a carry handle to mine.

Our shop would use The Bone creepers all the time. There are a few things we always kept in mind what we wanted vs a standard auto motive shop. Since we worked on larger trucks, being low wasn't that important, but the ability to roll over mud, dirt, screws or extension cables matters. We found the bone wheels great, but hydraulic oil would soften and destroy the casters on them within the first year, so we always bought new wheels later on. We also found that with repeated dropping onto the concrete slabs, the corners would start to crack after a few years. That said they were still night and day over the other creepers. The wheels on these creepers are all pretty small in comparison.

The Bone would be a great addition as a follow-on since it has substantially different construction.

I've got both the EZ creeper and Pittsburgh. The Z creeper gave out in under a year on a cracked driveway. The little metal wheels bent sideways on the left side, and before that happened the pull ring that lets it turn into a seat unwound itself and blew up - fixed that with a bolt. Now it's a permanent seat thing that gets dragged into position. The Pittsburgh has held up well for ~6 years now. It still chokes on small rocks, and I've thought about buying some larger "roller blade" style casters to improve performance. Just not at the top of the To-Do list.

Love the channel, keep on keepin on. My favorite creeper is a nice big slick piece of cardboard. Preferably a box that is flattened that can be folded along a crease so the dirt and rust can be collected easily and just dumped into trash can. Pair it with a piece of old carpet, drag all your tools and parts under or out from under the vehicle in one move. Im sure creepers have their place, but the ability to slide and ROLL OVER on cardboard, plus the additional clearance just cant be beat. Stay gold.

I love these comparisons. That being said, I bought a 9,000 lbs two post lift for just a little bit more than all of these creepers cost put together. Still gonna cost me another $1,500 to install it, but at least I won't have to lay down!

I’ve tried dozens, snap on wheels outlast everything. However, I can’t recall the brand, but UPS supplied the exact same wheel assemblies for replacements which made cheaper creepers more usable, they’re out there. But the pads last longer on Snap On than anything. Across the board, snap on creeper can’t be beat. And they do offer adjustable head rest.

Can you please do a vid on printers. Epson, Canon, HP, and the other most common ones. In some printer ink cartridges the ink drys out and becomes unusable. You can put fresh ink cartridges and wait a few months to see which ones dry out the fastest. The level indicator will show a lower level even if you don't use the printer.

Great review as always! I gave away both of my creepers after the first time I used the foam exercise pads that hook together and come four in a bundle. I bought the grey ones but they also come in colors. I have 12 of them now (3 sets) and I use them any time I work on the ground. I can hook them together in the shape I want or leave them loose. I bought the first set because I needed to work under my RV in the gravel driveway where my creepers would not work. They made it so much better so I used them in the shop on the concrete floor next. That's when I gave away my creepers and bought more of the foam pads. I love your videos and always look forward to the next one. I review older videos to see if you have done a review on something I need to buy. Thank you Sir!
