Best Mechanical Keyboard for Mac 2022 - NuPhy Halo65 Unboxing

For my first "enthusiast" keyboard, the Halo65 was quite possibly the best option I could have possibly taken. It sounds sooo nice. I got it with Browns and they sound and feel awesome, but currently have my Invokeys matcha latte linears in it and it's also very nice. I got to preorder it, so I got a great deal on the wristrest and their shinethrough keycaps. Overall: this was by far the best $150 I've ever spent.

This board is amazing value. I just couldn't get over the sound from all the videos I've seen (namely the space bar) so had to cancel. It looks so good on camera though.

I agree, the space bar is a little hollow and not very appealing. Decided not to cancel mine though, will just tweak it with a couple of mods until I'm happy with it.

@@badlydrawnfox113 Hope that turns out well for you! I wouldn't mind if NuPhy charged £50 - £100 more to their next offering if it included everything from the Halo65, but a more premium case and sound/layout customisability. They're so close to having a perfect off the shelf board.

i got the keyboard and i got to say i really love it, but I don't know if its just the fact that I've never owned lubed switches before, but some of the switches don't sound like they should and are sometimes a tiny bit mushy. I don't know if they just need to break in or whatever but sometimes they sound more lubey than the actual switch. if I press the switches down a bunch it usually goes away for like 10 minutes. someone give me some guidance please

do u know any good mechanical keyboards where the cmd key lines up with the right side of the X like on a magic keyboard?

I think you’ll have a very tough time finding one like that. If a keyboard has a function key, it’ll very likely be to the right of the spacebar. Apple keyboards are basically the only ones that have it to the left

they probably ship form Northern California. my Nuphy air came from there if I remember correctly. came quite quick
