Thanks for being one of the first people to do a full review on this, super helpful! I have a question about the halo lighting, does it only illuminate the outside of the board or does the light bleed through to where the keys are if the per key lighting is switched off?

The lighting is on the outside and inside. I tried to show this off in the shit where I have the keycaps off the board. You can see the lights on the switches and as I lift it as different angles you can see it inside the board. It looks amazing 👍

@@MashITTech I got pro browns! I decided that I wanted to give actual good tactiles a try, and I've got a set of matcha latte linears to chuck in there if I end up not liking them :) P.S.: I would definitely suggest checking out matcha lattes, they've served me very well and are lovely to type on!

I love my Halo 75, and recently got my hands on the Halo 65, the only issue that I got for my Halo 65 is: I can't use the "shift + 1" to produce the ! mark, which is a downer, and I still can't figure out how...en...guess I'll have to return it...and my Halo 75 has a even better typing feedback too...

What! that is really odd. I just tested mine and it worked no problem. What OS are you using? is it giving you any character instead of the ! And when you say the halo 75 has better typing feedback, what switches have you got in each? I have the halo 65 and I love it, Gary (my editor) has the 75 and I kind of wish I had kept the 75 and given him the 65 🤣

I love your review. Been in a battle with myself whether to purchase the white one or not since I have K3 Keychron Low Profile which I am satisfied too however.... This is the clean and decent keyboard I've ever seen! And would be my first mechanical keyboard if ever. ;) I just purchased white as gift for myself. Patiently waiting now :-(

I have never tried an o-ring mod. Does it just remove some of the bottoming out on the keycap? They use silicon under the switches and foam under pcb so the board sounds great out of the box

@@MashITTech Thats the type of o-ring mod for the keycaps, I was actually referring to the oring mod for the tray mount! It honestly would add a great feel for this board's type of mounting between the PCB and case!

The more I research into this keyboard hobby, the more attractive the Halo 65 seems as a complete option. Do you know if it's possible to change the stabilisers? Are they compatible with the Durock v2?

I have to be honest it is by far the best off the shelf keyboard I have tested (and I have a lot of keyboards in my office!) it puts razer and Corsair off the shelf keyboards to shame. The build quality is fantastic and the sound dampening they have used makes the keyboard sound amazing. For a relatively. We brand they have knocked it out of the park

@@MashITTech On their own sound test video the space bar sounds incredibly pingy. Did you find it loud and hollow sounding yourself?

@@VidVayder the noise difference seems to be because they used a bbk switch in there. There was no ping with mine but a more high pitched clack like the other bbk switches I tested on the top row. The pro brown 2’s were much quieter so I expect if you put a brown on the space it would also be quieter. They also have a silicon pad under the space on my unit, I wonder if they had this on the earlier test units?

Great video! I have now the 65, the 75, and 96 because of your videos! :) Question! Do you know how to TURN OFF the blue Bluetooth light at the top left? So when you use the caps lock, it glows and shows that you have pressed it? I've tried to find a solution online but so far, nothing. :(

@@MashITTech for desk space saving, the 65 clearly wins. I use Mac now, so I don’t really need the function rows. But I do miss the num pad when I need to input numbers. It’s a muscle memory thing. I’ve found too that coming from the 75 to the 95 my hands are used to the 75 key positioning, so it takes a little longer to adjust. But yeah, I just want to switch off the blue light so I know when I’ve pressed the caps lock. For passwords etc. lol any help would be appreciated!!! 😃

If you’re still thinking about it, I just bought a K6 Pro and although they have some differences I think you can’t go wrong with either of these boards. The K6 pro is 20$ cheaper in its plastic version and allows for QMK/VIA customisation. The Halo 65 on the other hand does not have a plastic version but is available right away while the K6 Pro is going to be launched in a matter of days

Thank you and yes the halo 65 works fine with the MacBook Air via bluetooth and dongle and I tested my iPad Pro on bluetooth and it worked perfectly :)

For pure typing I prefer the BBK switches, it has a better tactile feeling. For a mix of gaming and typing I prefer the brown switch and therefore I am keeping the brown installed in mine. I also prefer the sound of the brown over the BBK. Hope that helps :)

Thanks you. There are no dedicated F keys, you need to hold the Fn button plus number. As far as I can tell the shine through only comes in black but I can check with nuphy

I don't have the ducky 3 but this keyboards is miles a head of the ducky 2 and even better than my previous favourite keyboard the ducky varmilo Miya pro (though not by a lot as that was also an amazing typing experience)

Are you on windows or Mac? on windows mode fn plus the number gives you F1-F12 if you press fn+X+F not will switch them to multimedia. On the Mac it is the other way round by default. Hope that makes sense

when ever you are using the keyboard and therefore not the Touch ID of the built in keyboard it will ask you for your pin instead. I always use mine with the lid closed. I guess if you kept the lid open you could still just use the Touch ID

They put the ghostbar on the board and give you the option to switch it out for the old style space bar. You should have gotten a bunch of other keys to swap out too.

I don't believe it is. They have PE foam in the base, PCB silicon and silicon spacers under the space key but I cant see any gasket sorry

It is a simple hotkey to switch to windows or Mac. (Fn+X+S switches to windows and Fn+X+A switches to Mac) 👍

I am yes, the apple keyboard gives me wrist pain with extended use and I have been looking for a decent mac mech keyboard for a while. The air75 was almost the one but I prefer the deeper key travel of a normal sized mech keyboard and this one is perfect for me
